Anyone place a Limiter on their Drum Bus when making electronic music... such as Techno, Dubstep, etc.??

please elaborate on your Drum Bus also... order of plugins /kind etc.

I usually use a clipper VST on my drum bus, like this you can raise your levels without squash your sounds... I recommend the JST Clipper, if you can try...
And sometimes i use a bus compressor (Like "SSL" or "The Glue"), but ever before the clipper...
About a limiter, i didn't find a need to use it on my drum bus chain till now.

I definitely use a compressor of some sort... usually the GLue as well, or SSL... (exactly!).... and also a bit of Sonnox Inflator... but I always exercise restraint with that one... too easy to put it all over everything.

Cheepers!!.. Thanx for the reply Sport!!

When i Drag n Drop my kick on the play list, it dosn't pass the 0dB, as well as my other stuff, claps, hihats, some times i layer claps, compress them & then use a limiter, i don't produce Dubstep, but i thnk if you do you will have too, cause you need your clap to sound as loud as possible, wish in that case you will need to compress/limit the channel, dunno mush about it but i hate putting a limiter in any of my channls, as i want the sounds to sound as it is, then at master, it depends if you need a limiter or just go for the -6dB trick, anyway maybe i'm wrong ? right ? i don't know but this works just well with my productions & every one has his way of prodution you just need to find yours :) *yes*

When mixing I usually only limit individual sounds (not busses) and compress and parallel compress busses.
But when it comes to sound design and making dubstep snares and kicks I first layer sounds, processes/trim them individually and then bus them and put a limiter on that bus. All the sounds (that make up the one snare or kick) might have different timing (transient, punch, thud, noise tail, reverb, etc), so the output (after limiter) can differ quite alot compared to pre-limiter. To get that transient snap of a dubstep snare you need something transient before the actual snare/"200Hz tom"-hit.
Like Mr. Lyann Music said above, everyone does it differently. I do it my way.

The Hornet is a Great Limiter ! side chain input the proper way
Do you have a very percussive track? Use more clipper to cut those sharp transient and let the limiter work less. A soft song? Abuse of the limiter and don't use the clipper.

Also look into transient designers (i.e expanders, kinda) if you want to have more sculpturing options.

i should;ve just said techno... since I haven't been focused on dubstep for a year or so (d&b as well)... and not sure when I'll go back... eventually though.
i'm not looking for transient designing options (got that covered)... i was just curious about others use of limiters and to what extent.
and when and if I use a limiter on a bus, its for like, .5 to 1db @ most G.R.

    thanks ya'll

at least this guy (hornet) decided to include an Output slider on the last update... What he really needs is the thing to have a movable-threshold... as opposed to the fixed model. Its a pain having to raise the volume a shit load just to get some saturation and/or limiting (since my drums for example peak @ around -12 or so), and then have to turn it down with a gain plugin... although, now no need for gain plug, but still... there should be a link between the output level and input to clipper/Limiter. So as you are raising it, the output is lowering.
