There is only one location to put it into.
Program Data folder is not visible in windows unless you configure it that way.
Have you tried to access it typing... %ProgramData%
...in windows' Start menu seach? (left bottom corner of the screen.)

    So, about Dorico templates:
May we kindly ask those who provided their libraries to the community to get these templates through Vienna Assistant for those libraries and share them on sister?

Without the integration it is very difficult to make these libraries sound correct.

Re Serpent, yes. No problem using it in standalone or vst host.

Re the Magic Files Tool, no I've not used that one. I did try the original tool provided by the witches on a trial library when it was first released. It worked great. Things started appearing on the sister site soon after, so I didn't try anything else.

Okay thanks. Final question: What is the included "GPU Audio Engine RelWithDebInfo.exe" for?
Nevermind, I looked it up, also it doesn't even work for my Win. 10 1909 build!

    I was wrong.
In Vienna Assistant app you can download the expression maps and other useful things under Additional tab.

I have follow-up questions. Everything works for me, but what if I want to REMOVE a library and it's cache? I know where the magic files are, but where are the generated cache files?

To remove a single library, but keep others on your system...
    1) delete the sound files
    2) delete the associated magic files
    3) run the cachebuilder

Step 3 rewrites the cache database file that tracks what you have installed.

Run the cachebuilder anytime you make a change to VSL content; file names, locations, install/delete, etc.

What if a library (Prime Woodwinds) doesn't appear on the right side list (Preset, Patch) even if it shows up in the Preferences.
Is there any extra step besides of running the cache builder?

Or will the newer version solve this kind of problem? (Not about Flow)

Can you clarify what you mean by "shows up in Preferences"? Perhaps post a screen cap?

Are you trying to add it, or remove it?

In Preferences I added the location of that library. It appeared there, first just with the size of 0MB. Then I ran cache builder, opened the player again, in Preferences it already showed the size of the library. But in the player's UI on the right side in the list of Presents and Patches the library is not present. Only other libraries that had been added previously.

Hmmm... are the Prime soundfiles (sysvolume) in a different location to your other VSL libs?

    For the other libs...
are you doing paths for each VSL lib separately in the Preferences?
are they all in the same or different locations/drives?

Asking because if your VSL libs are located in the same folder - ie. a folder named 'VSL' with sub-folders inside containing the individual libs - you only need to provide a path to the 'VSL' folder in preferences. No need to add a path to each library.

I know Synchron Player can be directed to multiple locations, but I suggest keeping all your VSL in a common location if possible. It makes updates super easy.

Will wait to hear back before suggesting other actions.

Thanks. Yes, the libraries are in separate folders on the same drive but not in the same main folder unfortunately. I also thought about this as a possible issue, will check it when I am at that pc, (it's not with me now)
I thought about this however if it gives the option to add different locations, I didn't care about it. Perhaps with the R2R's cache builder method we must avoid it. As far as someone keeps every library on the same drive, we can put them under one main folder.

Yeah I know the Player is designed to work with multiple library paths. I'm a big believer in making complexly competent things as simple as possible (efficiently effective).

With the VSL releases that means (for me) putting the libraries in a common parent folder, and pointing the player to that one location. It's a housekeeping approach that makes maintenance much simpler. No editing preference paths when adding/removing libraries. Just place the sound files in that common location, place the magic files in their specified location, and run the cachebuilder.

    IMPORTANT and GOOD TO KNOW:
    1) sysvolume files can be placed anywhere we want, in folders named whatever we want. Just don't mess with/alter the names of the sysvolumes themselves.
    2) Magic files can be renamed to whatever we want, but must go in the specified location. With some early releases the magic files were a long string of characters. I added a simple prefix to those (example SY-StrPro-###########) to future proof maintenance.

@jazzzz, I'm sure you know/are aware of most/all of this, and what follows. I've written it as a potential helpfile for folks who find this thread at a later date. Hopefully it helps resolve your issue as well.

Re your Prime Woodwinds not showing in the preset list.
Do you have other instruments from the Prime Orchestra installed?
If so, just want to confirm you see the other Prime sections listed?

The preset menu will have a single parent tab (Synchron Prime Orchestra) with section tabs under it when clicked (01 Strings & Harp, 02 Woowinds, 03 Brass, etc.).

I only have the harp installed - everything else is covered by the main Synchron libraries - so my Prime content list looks like this:
    - Synchron Prime Orchestra
    -- 01 Strings & Harp
    --- 01 VelXF sus -MOD
    --- 02 VelXF - MOD
    --- 03 Velocity

... with a single Harp instrument preset under each numbered sub-tab (01 VelFX sus MOD, etc.)

First steps... as you have all your VSL content on the same drive, I recommend a little housekeeping. I'm hopeful it will resolve your Prime Woodwinds issue:

01 run Synchron Player, remove ALL paths in settings/preferences, close the player
02 create a common folder, and move your VSL libs into it**
03 confirm that the corresponding magic files are in the correct location**

** for now, do not put any Prime Orchestra content (sysvolume or magic files) in either location**

04 run cachebuilder, note the number of files per player (I track in a text doc - date/player/#)
05 run Synchron Player, add/reset the common folder to the paths list. You should now have just that one location listed.

Check the library preset list. Test some random instruments to make sure they run as expected. If they don't... close/reopen Synchron Player and check again. Still not working, that's another post. :(

    If they do... :disco:
    06 close Synchron Player
07 add desired Prime Orchestra content (sysvolume and magic files) to the appropriate folder locations
08 run cachebuilder, compare the number of files to previous number. Hopefully a higher number
09 run Synchron Player, check preset list and test the Prime sections

I've got my fingers crossed that all your VSL libs run as expected. If not, I have other ideas but this is long enough.
