I have been reading a lot of posts without luck.

Have latest Nexus 5 from Audioz and the Factory Content Library on Ableton Live Suite 12 on latest Tahoe M3 Macbook Pro but I cannot make the plugin to recognize the library as it opens.

Any help will be much appreciated, thanks

 

you need to edit the "json"file using text edit.plenty of info in previous releases

 

I am afraid that doesn't work for me on the latest version as the json file that needs to be edited setting the library route doesn't exists in Nexus 5. There is a different json file, with a different name and does not seem to have any line referring to any library that I can edit.

edit this file: /Users/Shared/reFX/nexus/settings.json.

if still not working, issue commands in terminal to assume ownership and set permissions:

sudo chown $(whoami):staff /Users/Shared/reFX/nexus/settings.json
sudo chmod 666 /Users/Shared/reFX/nexus/settings.json

You need to edit this line: "library_folder": in the middle of the file. Not the bottom one. You can leave this line alone: "user_folder": "/Users/Shared/reFX/nexus"

After that, what specific version number of Nexus5? Some people have mentioned some older version releases not working with Tahoe.

 

I already fixed it. The original installer has a box that I didn't tick for first time installs that especifically creates the settings.json and that is why I didn't have it.

Now I am wondering how to install a particular library beside the factory one.

Same answer basically. Stick them all in one folder on an external disk if you can. If you fill that library folder with every expansion you can use with N5, it ends up over 200gb.

 

So the route I put on the settings.json could be a folder with subfolders without problems right? I set the route now directly to Nexus Content for the Factory one, thanks

 

yes, and by setting that information correctly in the .json file, you shouldn't even need to do a symbolic link.
