Banksy (born presumably in 1973 or 1974 in or near Bristol, England) is the pseudonym of a British street artist. His stencil graffiti initially gained popularity in Bristol and London. His activities outside the United Kingdom brought him worldwide fame. Banksy strives to keep his real name and identity secret.

Yes, I am here, but I don't have anything going on yet. I have a few ideas, but I'm busy with other things right now.

 

I was on a slow moving frigate to Bora Bora and lost all my recording gear and musical instruments, the ship capsizing when a freak 20 meter wave flipped us upside down in the middle of the vastness of the South Pacific on that dark and moonless night. For three days and nights I bobbed atop the azure waves, adrift by myself as the lone surviver of the catastrophic sinking, only holding onto my trusted Martin D-18 (strung with 12-53 light monel strings that I had bought in a pack of 10 which saved me a coupla bucks...gives more a woody sound to my ear and lets the mahogany speak) for the little buoyancy that it provided. I fended off a great white shark by appealing to it's sense of humor, telling it all the fish jokes I knew until a pod of dolphins rescued me from the literal jaws of death and guided me to the closest uncharted island, letting me grab onto their dorsal fins and speeding me to safety until when we finally reached it's sandy shores hours later. If you are reading this then I'm the luckiest guy in the world and you have found my message in the bottle. I don't know exactly where I am and when and if I'll be rescued...but if I am before the deadline, will submit a piece, recording it starting the moment of my return.

Much like @Lois Lane I am waylaid at present. Whether I am being paranoid or not I am paralysed and making music must wait until I sort things out here. Last week I was spying on a man in a room across the street from me. He was spying on a man in the same building as me. I don't think it was me, but I can't be sure. What I do know is there is a man spying on me from the street. I am not spying on him, but I have hired a man to spy on him. I think he may know this because he has hired a man on the rooftop to spy on him. An unknown spy has moved into the apartment next to mine to watch the man on the roof and this morning I was alarmed to find a man in bed with me taking notes. I filmed him secretly as we lay in bed and have hired a man to stand in the wardrobe and spy on him through the keyhole. He reported to me after lunch that a man stared back at him through the keyhole all morning. This is a complex job and may go on for weeks or even months. But I will gather the evidence needed to prove that somebody is spying on me. Only then will I return to the studio where I expect I will receive instructions on how to proceed. I thank you for your attention to this matter.

 

@Magic Max That sounds like a very difficult situation. You might want to consider a food taster as well. Good luck!

 

I really want to have a go at this eventually. I wish I could harness and direct the crippling stress and anxiety of every day life into a piece of music.

Hi there, I was working on something but Bitwig crashed and it couldn't be recovered. Well, just to suggest something for anyone who might find it insteresting, if you drag and drop the image PulseWave suggested, into Serum's wavetable and import it (previously converted to PNG B&W, bla bla bla)... you can get a nice drone-like PAD for chords. I tried to rebuild the preset I designed, but I cannot remember now what the hell I did exactly... So, this is more or less what I had, previously...

Preset for Serum v1.334
Included WAV file for wavetable, place it in C:\Users\[YourUserName]\Documents\Xfer\Serum Presets\Tables\User\Grafitti Banksy Make Music.wav

Hope you enjoy and/or improve it.
