Have you already heard them in action?
The tweeter in all Adam monitors is a little controversial. Either you love it or you hate it.
If you're into ultra clear top end, then Adam is your brand. Think genelec, but faster and somewhat 'clearer'.
If you're more the "I want my treble to be soft and well rounded" it might not be your cup of tea.
My personal guess is that a Neumann guy would never really love an Adam monitor.
//edit// Seems to be an interesting system though. Much like the iLoud Micro, but with half an inch bigger chassis. Adam products are of good quality for a good price. I have a subwoofer from Adam that I like. But you have to listen to that tweeter.

I actually use both in my setup. I have the Neumann KH 310s in my studio, but I use the compact Adam Audio monitors in my bedroom. Even as someone who typically appreciates the Neumann sound, I really enjoy the clarity and "focus" these provide. I know some people even like to boost the high end, but that’s not for me. I am usually very sensitive to tweeters, yet I find these monitors overall very pleasant and non-fatiguing.

Interesting statement. I'm not an expert here meaning I know an awful lot about different speakers, besides the ones I am using. By chance I use Neumann KH310s as my main speakers, but saying this I still like the Adam A7x's I used before. Probably even more than before. Probably even more than before, because they always sound a bit polished compared to the brutally honest KH310s. When I can make something sound reasonable on the KH310s I really like listening to what's coming out of the Adam's. They are in different rooms though.

Sorry for starting this conversation with of topic.
I can only guess here, but if the 3DV's are similar to the characteristics of the A7X's i'd probably like them.
The A7X is a "fun" monitor I think (meant in a good way, but it depends, what you want from them).

I haven't listened to them. I'm going to hook small monitors to a MBP m1 for video editing. I would like to use them for music, too. I heard of the Adam. I like those details uncovered by a good tweeter, but it's a delicate balance. I think Genelec are a bit too expensive right now.

Video editing cum sound, music listening, on a desktop, small room. About the D3V's I've heard some problems on very low volumes, which brought me to ask here.

I have been using them for a while now and I must say that I am quite pleased with them. They are good speakers for a reasonable price, but don't expect miracles. I did have to do quite a bit of tweaking with EQ correction, because personally I find the midrange too prominent. Also, the mid-high frequencies produced an annoying resonance in some areas around 3000Hz that I had to filter out quite a bit. I do get the impression that this is caused by my audio chain (or my ears..lol) because I had these problems with my other KRK speakers as well, though to a much lesser extent. Conclusion for me is that AA DV3 are decent speakers to play with in your studio but not do any mixes with!

Bought them as soon as they were available. Sold my iLoud Micro to replace them. My current setup is Adam A5X + Adam Sub7 + Adam D3V.
Must say they are really awesome, well defined, and focused.
I use them as secondary pair to check mixes and because I like Adam Audio sound those came in as good addition.

... or your room. I wouldn't expect your audio chain to produce your impression, unless you're are not using a dedicated audio interface (not even a cheap one). Putting these side note away, 3000k is right in the range of what the human ear is most sensible. The vast majority of music being VERY loud can easily cause issues directly coming from the source material. Certain circumstances can sort of multiply these issues.
