Installed clean install of this app, but I'm getting constant clicking/static sounds with all presets. This is first time trying nexus, so obviously I've made some mistake. Can someone offer help? Win 10, Reaper. Thanks.

 

You might have your audio buffer set too low in your DAW. If the buffer is very small (like 32 or 64 samples), it can cause clicking or static when loading or playing presets in Nexus. In the lower left corner of Nexus you can see the CPU percentage for the current preset, which can at least give you an idea if the patch is pushing your system.

Also check the Nexus settings and try disabling Single-Click Preset Load. Some people have reported glitches with that option enabled, so it’s worth turning it off just to test.

There really aren’t many internal Nexus settings that would cause constant clicking. Most of the time it comes down to the DAW buffer being too low, an audio driver issue, or occasionally disk streaming struggling when presets load. Do you have the content on a relatively fast disk?

If you raise the buffer to 256 or 512 (or even higher) samples and the clicks disappear, then the problem is very likely the audio buffer/driver not Nexus 5.

 

My apologies, clone. I Installed the most recent version of asio4all, and it screwed everything up, so I went back to the previous version, and all is good now.

 

I suggest you go with Steinberg ASIO Driver.
