it is generally a misunderstandment that a hosting platform does the promotion for you for free. you always have to do it yourself.

 

I think you can reach new audiences on Spotify, but it's a harder task because the service is flooded and the owner is greedy. But if you have pitching and Spotify curators eyes on you, they will do things to give you views, like editorial playlists.

 

You can also give your music away for free; that guarantees greater reach! Of course, as with everything, aim for higher quality or create something truly exceptional.

 

Some advice ( this is to catch the traffic but not from me since I won't last 5 seconds of this)


If you can do a "synced" performance of your music with the following :

1. Pink or Purple LED lights in the back to cut down on the grain and noise of your video
2. Bokeh and lot's of make sure it's well defined
3. Cut and zoom jump cut every 5 seconds, along with splashy zoom/fade transitions to switch the conversation along
4. Keep video short 1 minute or less
5. Audio Redubbed even if it's off by a mile 90% of the people watching can't tell you are standing on the beach but talking to a mic up close
6. Trendy Music with loud bass during the zoom jump cuts.
