Unfortunately I will have to agree.
This new UI is a real pain but since NI is in serious trouble, we are unlikely to see any changes anytime soon.

 

i love kontakt. i think its one of the best plugins out there. especially the additional mixer rack inside kontakt where you can load different effects but the new design sucks hard

 

Totally agree. The ultimate sign of defeat is that a massive number of users keep switching back to Classic View just to find their libraries.

The "new design" is so, so bad it’s become a running joke in the forums: "Kontakt 8 sucks", "god awful mess", "UX fiasco". Out of sheer mercy, they left the option to go back to Classic View, because if we had to swallow the "modern" layout by force, I’d seriously consider migrating to VSL sampler (out of pure spite! ). You can love the plugin and hate the interface at the same time, which is basically what everyone’s been doing since 7/8.

And the collections? WTF, it turned into a carousel of ads disguised as a browser. You open it to pick a violin and suddenly it feels like you’re back on NI’s website buying Komplete all over again. Zero practicality! Where’s the simple, hierarchical list we could navigate blindfolded? Instead we got an Instagram of samples: nice from afar, useless up close...

So yeah, keep Classic View on and pretend the redesign never happened. That’s the only thing keeping us sane... so far!
