I'm curious what people here think of this? Saw it on reddit this morning. It's about malware in k'd plugin installers.

Please don't mistake this for any freaking out about it, I'm totally not. Folks here often have a unique perspective on this, that's all. Anyone ever see this stuff on sister site? I can't say I have

 

Thought it was some high level new development in malware, but it seems that hackers these days realized that banking on people's stupidity is more lucrative than trying to bypass AV security. This type of malware is also making the rounds on Windows, but it also targets only stupid people. You get yourself hacked with those.

 

It's not a virus, it's an iVirus.

 

As I always reply to the doubtful individuals if you don't trust something, just don't download,.

The original post says nothing about software from audioz or any known groups and Teams. The "malware campaign" mentioned in the first post is real. There is no overreacting or anything untruthful about it. There are lots of sites that post audio software and public torrent sites that could see this show up. It's just that no-one already here would have use for them.

 

was it about the vector attack on TNT? (i read it somewhere but couldn't bother)
