Oh man, my mistake, sorry and thanks @realitybytez!

I completely overlooked the fact that our forum has already sunk to the level of such blatant headlines as in Bild or The Sun!

The environment a person is raised in and the ethics, morality and difference between right and wrong is taught and often by example. No parent can make their children do or be something or choose their friends for them. They can only educate them. If the child is exposed to goodness they can take it onboard, or not. Their sense of right and wrong should be ingrained, but it can be rejected.

I honestly think that, while it's true that most of what companies use nowadays to make products is basically cancer, there's still a lot of mileage compared to what our elders used to smoke in their day to day basis with 0 knowledge. Today we know what asbestos is, shit, even fuel used to have lead, that is not to mention that watches, jars and some other objects were made with radioactive material.

And yeah, that doesn't change the fact that we live in a world where everything is slowly becoming cancerous, healthy food is getting expensive and it's not as easy to have a balanced diet as before, but we really know a lot of how the world is suffering and the ways that we're using to kill ourselves. You CAN actually make changes, at least to some extent, money does not fall from trees but it's possible to change plastic to wood, to buy air filters, to purchase clothes made from organic fabric and so on.

It's not simple, it's not accessible, but it's available as information to learn and to choose from. I try to enjoy today's world as much as i can, i know that society is not gonna notice what we're loosing until it's too late. Learn to cultivate, learn to craft, seek nature as must as you can, don't give up on living a healthy life just because junk has become the standard.

And i'd say that the most important change is mental, workout, go outside, reunite with friends and family, uninstall or delete social media, etc. Your body needs a motive to work, your brain needs motivation to keep pushing forward and functioning. By no means i'm attacking those that can't or don't have the will, but if you trust a company to live your life, you're giving up your will to decide, that's the biggest part of being alive

    Plasticizers in mousepad and headphones

A test conducted by c't magazine revealed that mousepads, headphones, keyboards, and cell phone cases contain, in some cases, concerning and banned plasticizers. PAHs, the plasticizers DEHP, and SCCPs (short-chain chlorinated paraffins) were found in a third of the tested products. The latter are banned throughout the EU, including for imported products.

PAHs and SCCPs can be carcinogenic, mutagenic, or harmful to reproduction. They are hardly biodegradable in the environment and can accumulate in the human body, in organisms, and in the environment. According to chemicals legislation, substances with these properties are classified as "of very high concern." If they are present in certain products—because their use is legally permitted in a specific quantity—the manufacturer must disclose this information. However, this disclosure is only required upon request.

This is stipulated by the European chemicals regulation REACH. The easiest way to do this is online at reach-info.de. There, you enter the product's barcode into an online form. This triggers an inquiry to the manufacturer or retailer. By submitting an inquiry, you also signal your intention to avoid these substances.

A limit for PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) has been in effect since December 2015. Products that come into contact with the skin must not exceed the new PAH limit of 1 mg/kg. For toys and baby products, this limit is 0.5 mg/kg. DEHP (dehydrogenated hydrocarbons) is already banned in baby products and toys. Specific limits also apply to its use in plastic food packaging.

    People still use mousepads?

The optical mouse was designed to be used by buisness people on trains. The optimal material they were deisgned for was dark cotten/wool suit pants.
A rubbery plaastic mousepad ment to help the adhesion of the rubber ball in the ball mouse will never help you.

All of those still "kill" you as far as I know.

But the issue isn't so much dying. I'm sure most people wouldn't mind dying 1-3 years earlier if that meant they could spend all their lives eating as much crap as they wanted to.

The issue is not dying. The issue is having to live the last 25-30 years of your life with the ever more severe consequences of long term excessive intake of highly refined flour, sugar, salt, saturated fats, ...

Diabetes, gangrene, cardiovascular diseases, permanent inflammations, constant high BP, kidney stones, cancer. Those will make people regret their life choices. But at that point it's too late for regrets and time for an ever growing list of medications.

Long term thinking is really difficult for us humans. I live now despite all the stupid shit I've done to my body, can't be that bad then, right?

As you said, moderation is key.

I do really HATE listening through headphones.

Guy on vocals looks like Apocalypse-Now-era Brando's awkward half-brother, who works at a local waste management plant.
