Yeah, with chemicals it's a whack a mole game. And politics are slower than the industry comes up with new stuff.
BUT: It's not that bad. Most of us were here from the late seventies and have not developed cancer yet. And we're in a way better situation now than we were back then. Just think about the leaded gas and asbestos. What makes me happy is that I live in europe. Here the chemical industry has to proof that something is not dangerous. While in america everything is considered ok that is not proven deadly.
And that "OMG our dicks gonna be pussies because of all that hormone-like molecules": Yeah, but drinking beer, right? Beer has caused more man-boobs than any headphone ever will even if it was binged in estrogen.

 

i agree. i was born in 1957. as a schoolkid i used to chew on bic pens and swallow the plastic - like every day. if anyone has toxic amounts of microplastics floating around in their blood, it would be me. and yet, here i am 60 years later, still cancer-free.

With our current level of knowledge, dementia may be a very serious longevity limit hardwired into our programming by nature that'll be difficult to solve ("but what about AI").

But what about all the other plastic connoisseurs in your age group? I can name a few heavy smokers who lived to be almost 100, but that's not very relevant when most other heavy smokers died long before the general, non-smoking population.

If anyone looks up all of the things that can potentially kill you, then it is likely some people if they followed it probably wouldn't leave their house and become a paranoid mess. At different points in time, white bread kills you, sugar kills you, salt kills you, too much red meat kills you, saturated fats kill you... so on and so forth...
I am not saying eat whatever you like even though you are going to die anyway at some point, I am not saying that some things in the headphones are or are not bad for you... I am saying, that you only have one life. Most things in moderation are fine. It is the excess of anything that is bad for you that is not very smart. If you do not do things you enjoy or eat things you enjoy eating, you have to ask yourself if you are actually living or only existing.

As for finding hidden undertones in the main post, honestly, a person can find a negative in anything if that is the only M.O a person has.
