I am constantly amazed by the sound quality, texture, depth and detail that sounds have in the Battlefield video game saga, so I was wondering which other video games have that immersive, outstanding audio quality that you guys might enjoy.

Other notable mentions for me are:

Metro: Last Light and Exodus (including DLCs): Although they are poorly balanced, sound-wise they are impressive. Everything sounds in context; the FX fit the density of the scenarios, weapons, and objects. Some of them fail in the process, but they're in the minority.

Far Cry 4 and Primal: Ubisoft screws up badly every time they try to do something remotely good, at least since a couple of years ago, but man, playing Ajay's story and experiencing the Neolithic era in Primal was otherworldly. I must say that there's a clear bump in the mids and high-mids (normal, given that "cinematic" Hollywood tonal profile that most companies aim to replicate).

Doom 3, 2016, and Eternal: Mick Gordon does Mick Gordon-ish things and creates Mick Gordon-ish results, making it a Mick Gordon experience. That wraps it up.

growing up playing the snes I loved all of the attack and spell sounds in chrono trigger and FF6. Dragons Dogma 2 has some pretty sick environmental fx.

Luckily we don't, to this day i still find it awesome. I remember being a kiddo and having so much fun with this, then a couple years after a relative showed me GTA: Vice City, the rest is history haha

Agreed, even Nintendo's consoles at the time had amazing UI sound effects, SEGA also had an incredible sound design philosophy, Sonic games are a treasure's worth of iconic audio elements
