Ever since some incident involving some Russian YouTuber (shocker) redistributing the CrossOver bottle, the og guy who made the software couldn't even at least have the consideration to keep the tutorials whilst advocating not to request for newer builds, which I thought was rather odd...

I understand that unauthorized exposition of the software is unacceptable, but why should that warrant others to take the fall for such an incident, especially loyal users (such as I; not even a byte of the bottle left my machine and onto a public cloud for others to take) that've been meaning to come back to the project?
    :scrapbox:

Frustrations aside, would anyone happen to know a better/equivalent way to run Windows VSTs on macOS that's gotten more love?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated and I look forward to your thoughts and suggestions!

    God bless y'all! :shalom:

Feel ya pain, same here, few peeps on here asked me for it and I never shared it, I had a feeling, but didn't think he would react like that and take everything off though. But fair play its up to him but a shame as he did it well and looked like he was just about to get going with a new bottle. I still use the last one.but yeah don't know of an alternative. and if the original OG is on here maybe reconsider restarting/ releasing , Don't think anyone will share that if you let peeps know.but would be nice to give it another go. Naughty corner for whoever shared it and reprimand hope had the effect.

It is rather a shame... Though I did find another forum post on audiosex talking about using Whisky (Wine), Jbridge (for the prehistoric 32-bit plugins) and Audiogridder outright seen here. Perhaps this is our ticket? I did manage to find a fork of Whisky on GitHub that'd been ported for Intel macs, even if it's from 2023... I'll have to try it for myself to see if anything comes of it. Best of luck if you dare leap through the hoops!!

Edit as of late: the Whisky port was sadly not an actual port of Whisky for Intel machines. Woopity-doo.
