Talk to me like I'm a five year old, lol. Computer arcana I don't understand. IOW, K.I.S. (keep it simple). After being alive this long, my brain is filled and no longer has the capacity for jumping through hoops to complete an operation.

I understand debrid downloads at premium speeds without a RG account, yes? Or do I need jdownloader... does debrid allow to load multiple links for simultaneous downloads itself?

I get, say, real debrid . I get jdownloader. There is a post on the sister site with something I want that has, for example, 5 RG links.
Now what do I do to get those 5 links to start downloading? Step1 step 2, etc. Appreciate you

Enable the clipboard monitor in Jdownloader.
Copy the entire group of links on the peeplink page (for the correct operating system, format, whatever). When you copy those links it will automatically add them to the monitor, check online status for each file to make sure each part of the release is downloadable, etc. You can copy multiple hosts at that time and the monitor will show you details about the ones you have selected. It bypasses even opening RG pages or any other service like it, not just the captchas.

It will pop up a little window on the right corner of your monitor, and then just go from there. It's simple. Once you have files added as links, you can decide what to do with them. It's much more obvious when you have some links loaded into JD.

It's a pretty deep program for "just a download manager". But it can be very easy,

Thank you. I made an acct with real debrid but haven't bought a subscription yet. I keep reading about that and jdownloader on the forum and decided to look into it because there a whole bunch of instructional vids showed up on sister site and to do it as a freebie download is too much to bear, lol.

What does real debrid do download wise? Why do people pair it with jdownloader?

 

Debrid services are basically bandwidth resellers: they buy premium accounts on hosting sites, then let multiple users download through them at full speed. People pair Jdownloader with Real Debrid because Real Debrid push out updates for Jdownloader. Your premium account info sticks no matter what they have to change behind the scenes.

Well, that and because of all the features of Jdownloader besides that. It is a very deep app for "just a download manager". You can create scripts, like with a torrent client. You can have it auto-download, auto-extract, move files, and so on. It can be very fast, allows multi-threaded downloads.
It makes a torrent client feel like 2000.

1. You need a Premium account from them.
2. Go to Jdownloader’s settings and under Accounts (or something similar, don’t remember), add your debrid’s Premium account’s login info to the correct provider. Make sure JD says they’re correct (green).
3. Make sure you’ve got clipboard compatibility active, it’s a checkbox somewhere. Then you can paste links straight into its download page.
4. Now you can paste and download premium file provider links (note: the ones the debrid service supports, like typically RG), like you would subscribe to them. No need to recycle them through the debrid website / service.

If you don’t have a super fast internet, it might be worthwhile to limit the number of simultaneous downloads. That way JD will only download 1-3, for example, even if you start 10 of them - it will queue the rest.
