Just started working on this new track. Trying to go for an old school liquid sort of vibe. What do you think?

I would love some mix feedback!

Nice vibe for rides in nature at dawn or evening rides through cities. Good job!

Forgive me, but I'm going against the grain. Why such a bulky drum kit? The drum kit is very intrusive, completely unoriginal, and it overshadows everything else as if it weren't important (and it is). Of course, personal tastes prevail, but personally I'd eliminate the drum kit and try replacing it with something softer, darker, and with FX inserts. The rest would finally come through, perhaps better with a few lower BPMs. Good, anyway :)

A truly fresh and lively surprise @Tonebreak, great song - even club-friendly and modern, I especially like the mature voice, the instrumentation and the tempo. Keep it up! I hope we hear more from you soon. Maybe you could do a version 2 without the beats/drums! Or a variable version with different time signatures. You and the singer are very talented!

I like It. Have you posted this song before? Or maybe I'm just imagining It.

I think your mix is solid but your kick seems a little low-mid heavy for me. Not "boomy" but also not what I'm used to hearing on that style of track. I also feel the high end of your hats is a little sharp, but I'm listening through soundcloud, so It could be the codec making It a lot worse.

Oh, WOW! I thought oldschool sound productions were not gonna happen anymore, but hey! You nailed it. Brilliant work. Add some keysynth or gimmick on top on some bars.
    Examples:
some piano keys like this Goldie's track (starting around at 1:17:23):

    Or:

That funky synth (starting at 0:37, throughout all track):

Or simply add some strings, too, as well.

    You got the vibe, dude!:disco:

The vocals are nice and the lyrics are fine. Can I hear AI in the instrumentation? Lots of artifacts in the breakdown's piano. If I was a label, I'd be discouraged from signing it. The drums are actually OK but again the piano doesn't sound right. And maybe I'm wrong about the piano being prompted. It might be a loop that you pitched. It just has artifacts that take me out of the vibe of the record. I like the reverse piano after the breakdown. Nice effect. The bass is a bit generic. And overall it feels like a bit too prompted. I really like your record Jaffa though. Great job. Super clean keyboard sound. Nice stabs. Vocals are dope.

listen to real 60's pop, rock, blues, jazz, almost all drumming drumming from a time when music was enjoyable and not irritating or inducing Migraines. listen to real drummers like Max Roach, Buddy Rich, Guy Nadon, Hal Blaine, Charlie Watts, Jim Gordon. Sorry but that is my opinion because I really value my hearing, an essential being a musician . Sorry, just my personal opinion, not my type of Music but others may like it. I have only played and performed with real drummers my entire life.

I find it amusing that many people here are all for Bandcamp banning AI, or just hate AI music "based on the principle of the thing". Then those same people will listen to a track like this and be perfectly ok with it. If you want to directly take someone else's track, stem it, add a breakbeat loop, and call it a day; no-one has a problem with it.

Even the thread title is dishonest. If you weren't "so sure about it", you wouldn't have posted it.

Like it!! Agree with @robos on the drums. I like the overall sound of drums but it would benefit from some variation.
Sounds like a constant loop to me but the overall the song is really good
If you edit song, post it, would like to hear.

Is it time to pack up bois? Everyone is calling it AI but I couldn't tell any difference. I though it was a banger.

Apparently it's a song that already exists, only the OP split it into stems and replaced the drums with some D&B breaks. But since the accuser did not mention what the original song is, and I'm definitely not gonna go digging for it, we may never know.

Hey, @clone, if you're gonna spill the beans, spill the whole bag, not just 1 bean :bleh:

Everything about the instrumentation is sampled though splice or loop masters or original work. The only thing *AI* was the vocals.

Since I posted this I have moved away from
Anything AI as to not damage my image and also because it’s quite obviously stealing from other people.

the accusations that this entire song is AI is quite painful.
