Something like this makes a good addition to a subscription service. They pretty much have to continue adding new things to it. They don't all need to be enormous new things but still give their paying users something that says they are not just sitting back and collecting their money. It shows development activity continuing, and in some cases; them actually taking user suggestions.

Well I think it's fun to see these emulations, and get "oh this is Heart Of Glass!" or "this is I Am A Camera!".
But right, beside that I don't see a use except a revival cover.

On the other hand I would really be grateful to Roland if they coud make a VP-550 vocoder vst, in my opinion the best vocoder ever.
Not easy to replicate 100% with existing vsts, though I made something similar with Melda.

 

1. You're assuming I was using a CR-78 in 1978; I never said that, and I wasn't.
2. I was using a Music computer in fact when I had a CR-78.
3. I didn't read or write this back then though, but yesterday.
