I currently don't have my laptop but I'd like to record something with my mic. Only thing I have that could be suitable for this is my H2n but I don't know what I need.

Any tips? I genuinely don't know what to use, or rather which adapter or device.

    I have Audient ID4 MkII.

No, I can't connect my mic to H2n directly. It doesn't have any In/Out holes.

Why do you need to do this? Your H2n has a memory card that you can record on to, doesn't it? Just copy those sound files into your DAW.

You want to use your other mic? Your interface looks like it's USB bus powered so you need your computer to use your interface.

    But...

You can try an XLR to mini phone jack adapter to connect your microphone to your H2n and see if that works for you. Just make sure you get the correct male or female XLR adapter for your mic.

You may have to change your settings for plug in power for that mic.

Check page 16 of the manual here:

    Also AI suggests this:
If none of this works, it could be that the cable may not be bidirectional. It only allows signal to flow from mini jack to XLR.

I think 48V is the issue — theres nothing to enable it and I doubt H2n has it embedded.

Would I need something like XVive P1?

Connecting an audio interface to a Zoom H2n can be useful when you want to record higher-quality sound from microphones, instruments, or a mixing console. While the Zoom H2n is primarily designed as a portable stereo recorder with built-in microphones, it also supports external audio input through its 3.5 mm line/mic input.

I was wondering myself, so asked Gemini.. The Audient interface cannot be used standalone to output signal to the Zoom recorder. It needs a host, like a computer or iPad.
But you can use an inline phantom power device like the Xvive - connect its output to an XLR to Mini-jack adapter then to the Zoom input.
