It's the dead of winter here right now, and it's not entirely safe outside!
Spring will be here soon, and then I'll be able to spend more time outdoors.

Nature is awful. I have a deal with nature: I leave her alone, she leaves me alone. I do not go into the woods, the woods do not come into my flat. Have you ever seen what's in nature? Monster, tiny, tiny small monsters with more than 4 legs ... nah. Worse than the USA.

    The sea....

It's a love/hate thing, living close by... jellyfish freak me out a bit though, borne through a fear of being stung, then the humiliation
of being urinated on by well meaning strangers and/or neighbours.

I love nature, but I have to admit, that these -30 celsius days have reduced my daily walks to 30 min max.
It is really beautiful outside right now, but too fucking cold for me

I don't know how you do it. I was fully pissed off having to deal with a couple inches of snow last night that melted by the morning. -30c is unimaginable to me.

Rooms are the biggest achievement of human mankind.
Rooms are good. They keep the elements out.
    Outside is chaos. And disorder.

@Midge F yeah we’re at such a disadvantage in the sea - i do have a funny story for you though regarding the sea. my uncle use to do stand up paddle boarding all the time in Marina Del Ray in Los Angeles. so i visited him one time and wanted to try it out....

the night before he was showing me that he was in the L.A. newspaper before. in the photo hes was paddle boarding but its like a downward aerial view and theres this big ass whales shadow underneath him. so the next morning when we go out im shaking in my boots, im like paddling and all shakey thinking about how theres whales in this mf

at one point this yatch pulls up with a group of people and theyre waving at me. for a second i stop being scared and i wave back; almost immediately i slip off the board into the water. im like desperately trying to get back on the board and realize the whole ship is just laughing so hard, honking the horn and shit lol

That's just a golden story, ledge!!..... first time I've ever considered SUP boarding to be an extreme sport! Not enough adrenaline/fun quotient for me, for all that effort (big ass whales aside) but, round here, if lucky, you can be accompanied by dolphins, which would make me die happy...

The sea and it's embarrassment factor is a thing, too. Many a time, worried by jellyfish, I've screamed like a girl coming into contact with seaweed! :facepalm:Kudos for making the day for those peeps on a yacht, btw!

I love being outside in any weather as long as I'm dressed for it...rain, snow, very cold or very hot

Years ago when I was in rural Pennsylvania at my girlfriend's parent's farm during a cold snap when the temperature was 0 degrees farenheit (about -17 centigrade), the night of a Geminid meteor shower, I put on my full length thick down jacket, my moon boots and padded ski pants with wool long johnes underneath in order to gear up to lay down in the snow and watch the beautiful light show. After few minutes there on my back looking up to the expanse, in an instant the night's crystal clear zillion starred sky was obscured from my vision and the next I knew something pulled my hood strong enough to jolt my head up off of the powdery ground. I bolted up to see a big old owl silently fly away after I guess it thought that I was something good to eat, my frozen breath exhaled through the small opening in my hood fooling it into thinking it had an easy, tasty meal. Good thing it wasn't one of those Pocono Great White Land Sharks else I might not be here today to tell my tale!

I'm an autumn guy myself... i like the look of all the trees shedding their leaves, when I go for my daily hour walk at the park, also I prefer the temps for sleeping. I was one of those kids who could wear shorts and a tshirt in winter and not feel the cold at all; teachers at school would yell at me to put clothes on because they got cold looking at me. When you're like that... summer can feel a bit much. So yeh I dont mind the colder months for walking.

Having lived in the tropics I love the winter. You can always make yourself warm, but you can never make yourself cool (unless you are in an air-conditioned space).

ooo yeah im with you @Fluxxx , autumn is dope - i like how the tree leaves change colors in some places; like Oregon is just so beautiful in the fall: red trees, orange, yellow. its gorgeous and a vibe to be around
