i hope they release the dep5 , very nice unit.

 

i dont know but they should also recreate tc electronic fireworkx and other high end effect units. i think TC does not have that



i still have a TC electronics firewire sound interface.. its damn damn good but its old now but the reverbs in it is amazing on vocals.. nothing like valhalla reverbs.

im still having fun with it, made keys yesterday i named "island pineapple keys" because they sound kinda like ripply steel drums....

though im completely certain now that the MODULATION (LFO2) section does nothing, it doesnt matter what you turn any of the knobs too - which is unfortunate because that second LFO could be useful, thats the only problem i have with it. i dont see how they overlooked a whole section on their synth not working: but it is a free so...hopefully they fix that

 

i want these.. these are from the 90s i suppose. they are very very good..

 

I had to check this out of curiosity, and lo and behold, the Modulation LFO 2 controls do NOTHING, nothing happens.

It's because in the hardware, it's tied to the mod wheel, or mod stick that roland uses. i just tested this out in ableton by opening an envelope clip to CC01 and it's working as intended. just a note - 'depth' controls pitch.

The LFO 2 waveform is triangle wave. When the modulation lever is moved, the pitch, brightness, and volume will
be modified simultaneously, each according to the Rate and the various Depth settings that you have made.

LFO 2 settings are made independently for each Patch.
■ Part(s) which can be controlled
● When connected to REMOTE KBD IN
The part(s) which will be controlled will depend on the key mode.
Single, Split: The effect will apply to the Patch of the Part selected by Panel Select.

Dual: Regardless of the Panel Select setting, the effect will apply to the Patches of both Parts.
If you wish to apply an effect only to the Patch of one or the other Part, you can erase the control assign settings of the other Patch.

● When connected to MIDI IN
The patch of the part which is set to the same channel as the transmit channel of the external MIDI device will be controlled. (Part MIDI channel: p.118)

[DEPTH]
Rotate [DEPTH] to set the depth of the LFO 2 effect on the currently selected Depth Select item (PITCH, FILTER, or AMP).
Rotating the knob to the right of center will produce a greater effect. Rotating the knob to the left of center will invert the LFO 2 waveform and produce a greater effect. With a setting of center, LFO 2 will not affect the sound.

[RATE]
Rotate [RATE] to set the speed of modulation for LFO 2.
Rotating the knob toward the right will produce faster modulation.
The Rate setting is common to PITCH, FILTER, and AMP.
These cannot be set separately.

Uhmmm... Does anybody know how to use just a single sound? On the "Panel Select" you have UPPER and LOWER. Sometimes, if I load a preset, it loads on both. Some other times, IDKW, but it loads on only one so there's like another previous sound still there on the other panel. I don't want to use it, but I cannot find a way of deactivate it. I've tried checking one, the other, both, on the UPPER and LOWER buttons, and as well, I've tried the two positions of "Perform" and "Patch sel" but no result. Obviously, there's something I'm not getting or that I'm missing...

 

Keymode at the bottom of the gui:

Single: plays current patch selected from upper or lower
Dual : plays both upper and lower patches as a performance across the entire keyboard
Split: controls selected Performance SPLIT ... Lower plays from bottom to B3 and Upper plays from C4 and up

I really like and love the sound of TC Electronics evasince the late 90 s...pristine clear sound.
