Hello, since it's so time consuming to fix and install librairies, especially those with custom generated sniped, I am looking for the file or files I need to backup in case I need to reinstall my os one day, or move to a new computer

    thank you

    backup this whole folder: /Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Center/

or even go up one directory and backup /Library/Application Support/Native Instruments, Personally, I'd probably run a time machine backup of the entire drive. It's not a locked file, in that you can't delete contents of it, but you can browse inside of it and copy them out of there without any problem.

thank you, currently I use Carbon Copy Cloner to copy periodically critical folders into a backup folder in iCloud (which I then copy to an external ssd) but iCloud has been causing real slow down in my computer lately, I might try Time Machine

I would at least use it before you make the move to the new Mac. I always think I have copied everything critical I want to move to a new machine, and without fail; I will be missing something. Time machine is nice because it is not like creating a frozen ISO image file, where you can only payload the entire disk. You can just selectively go get anything you want from it.
