I've learned over the years not to have any expectations at Christmas and New Year's. R2R has been putting in an extraordinary effort throughout the year. We can only thank them and be extremely grateful.

I disagree, i must admit at first that 2021 i believe was tremendous NYE when they dropped SSL, Softube, Oeksound, Liquidsonics and more, next Christmas was Reason 12 i believe!? And the next was EastWest, after that was Acustica! They kept that pattern right, by beating the unbeatable every year, and don't forget what's in between, i might not like what they release sometimes, i mean i'm not a Reason user, didn't even bother downloading the EastWest stuff... Doesn't mean it's nothing because we don't like it, others surely are happy with whatever they get their hands on, hey i'm sure this NYE will be huge as well, have faith especially with the hard work on the new R2R System they've been working on for months now, i don't think they're wasting their time just to not release anything.

 

R2R changed the rules of the game for the better. Their era is the greatest in warez history. They're stratospheric all year round, not just at Christmas and New Year's Eve. That's what makes them legendary and so powerful. GOAT Team

 

We have more than enough already but new plugins are... new plugins. New toys to mess with. Personally i'm really satisfied with what is already released. I fell in love with Archetype rabea and replaced my go to ampsim which was nameless. So lets wait and see what happens. Either way its a win-win situation thanks to the teams that provided all those goodies. Thank you for your effort and time!

 

IIRC, the action happens at New Year, not Christmas.

Although, tbf to the admins, they might have a backlog to get through. I've submitted 3 posts in the last 3 days which haven't appeared yet. So it's either there's a lot coming down the pipeline or they're (quite rightly) having a break!

 

@DonaldTwain Can you say what that was? I also think that there might be a slight time delay with some releases.

Would be great to see more "V ESS L" to complete either Studio or S*nchr*n or maybe even both at some point, even if it takes a couple months.

Otherwise most that has not yet been released or not for a long time would be welcome on my end.

Of course, technically we of course got more than we could ever use already thus far.

 

Just 16 bit versions of OT's Berlin line for anyone looking to save some HD space. No VSL from me I'm afraid! I could probably buy more individual VSL instruments over time but getting bundles would save so much money overall.

Considering the sheer output of Airwindows, I think we oughta have a thread dedicated to just those. But yeah, while Airwindows can be hit and miss there are some absolute gems hidden in there. Quantity you get, quality you have to look for.

That said, time to try out this bad boy.

 

If R2R were to complete Neural DSP and MixWave during the holidays, it would be one of the best gifts ever, since the Big Wave

 

also AudioUtopia with their legendry 2016 wave that brought Pro Tools, McDSP, SoundToys and more....

 

Kudos to them, we are forever grateful for the gifts they provided while they were around. But to be fair, back in the day, protection probably wasn't as crazy as it is today. Plus, there weren't as many developers or plugins funding those protection back then. Nowadays, file sizes are massive and layers of different protection are wrapped over one another. Even with time, it’s still hard to get things right, sometimes timebombs and other issues are only realized much later. Different era different struggles for sure. Next generation probably will experience some rouge AI forming a group to crack plugins or something.

 

I will go further and say that even if they don't release anything for NYE, they will definitely release everything they've been working on in a phased manner in the first quarter of 2026.
