I just installed Arturia – V Collection 11 Pro v11.2.0 – R2R and there are a bunch of missing samples. Does anyone know how to fix this?

 

For context there are a bunch of missing samples from other synths as well. I also installed Arturia – Sound Banks 2025 – R2R (SOUNDBANK). Not sure if that affects anything.

1. First, back up your files.

2. Then completely uninstall the previous program, as it will otherwise cause errors.

Go to C:\ProgramData\Arturia and manually delete the program.

3. Only then should you install the new program.

The problem is always leftover files from previous installations!

 

sorry but I don't understand your purpose / intent of replying that to my question for the op.

Are you sure about such a blanket term as that???

Scenario 1: the op is a new user with 2 posts, many new user post on here after downloading say ominispher that they only installed plugin and don't have steam folder content.
so assume from that, they have not installed previous version of v collection.
from what user says they have installed Arturia – V Collection 11 Pro v11.2.0 – R2R and have missing sample files.
second post says they installed Arturia – Sound Banks 2025 – R2R these are the extra expansion presets and not the base content.
therefor user had no previous files and not the content.

so my low effort question assumes this and thus asked if they installed the factory base content samples.

Scenario 2: ok lets assume they had previous version of v collection and they remove every thing and install the plugs and sample content.
load a previous project in there daw that has a instance of the Emulator in.
the plugin state that is held in the project references samples that in the previous version where in a different location.
as arturia decided to just update the soundbank.
so not having leftover files from a previous version is then in fact the problem :P


the user could have also had previous version and only installed the plugs so thus having only part of the factory content.
as the previous r2r versions of v collection where just one install and not a separate sample content.
which I assume the witches are doing so that when there is a updated version later that you just have to get the plugs and not the massive sample update.


so there are my reasons to my question since you seamed to have directed the statement "The problem is always leftover files from previous installations!" at me.

 

Ok I fixed the problem. I didn't download Arturia V Collection 11 Pro v11.2.0 Samples-R2R because the site I used only had the collection and not the samples. I just downloaded the samples from the sister site and now everything is working. Thanks for your help guys.

 

The best thing to do is revert to the version that works and wait for an update that fixes the bug.
Always follow the installation instructions in the enclosed NFO file

When you uninstall a new Arturia product, it doesn't delete your old files in "C:\ProgramData\Arturia". Now the new installation overwrites your old data, that's the problem. Sometimes you have duplicate files, sometimes the new ones aren't even displayed!

Make sure to run the DAW as Admin because it needs Admin permission to write new database file (db.db3) in the ProgramData folder.

To avoid such problems from the outset, first back up your files. Then, completely uninstall the old program, paying particular attention to any leftover files that your uninstaller didn't remove. It's best to restart your PC so it can re-import everything. Now you have a clean system. Then, install your new software according to the team's instructions (NFO file).
