hi, i am unable to change preset from default one that loads on launch(aarctic drift)
i can choose presets but when i click or double click on them nothing happens i just hear aarctic drift if i pres key on midi keyboard
my pc is old mind you, amd phenom II x6 1090 processsor.
i was surprised absynth installed,as im unable to install massive x due to avx scenario.

 

I'm having the same problem right now, but I haven't found a solution yet.

Try the following to see if Absynth even works:

Go to the menu at the top, where the three dots are stacked on top of each other.

Select "Open Preset" and then choose an nksf preset from

"C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Absynth 6\Sounds\Absynth 6\Instruments".

 

Hello @funkman, please uninstall the R2R Version and download and install this Version from V.R:

Native Instruments Absynth v6.0.1 - V.R

Please delete all Absynth Files manually before you install the V.R Version
- Presets are now working
- Only one Klick Installation

 

hi,thanks for reply. i just realised,after going to the location u suggested that i hadnt installed the content! as the sounds folder was empty
installing it now,see what happens

 

i can select presets from the open preset method,but cant select from the normal way

I had this exact problem and it was a library (wrong) location issue. I'd copied the ISO's Absynth 6 folder to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Absynth 6\. If copying to that destination directory, you must copy the sub-folders of Absynth 6 on the ISO.

That results in the Libraries, Samples and Sounds directories from the ISO being copied to the following paths:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Absynth 6\Libraries
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Absynth 6\Samples
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Absynth 6\Sounds

If you don't have these directories at those locations, you get permanently stuck on the Arctic Drift patch as described.

Confirmed working with 6.0.2 R2R + R2R 6.0.1 library. (VST3 only install)
