    Absynth 6 Content
    Burn or mount ISO.
Run our CMD installer (requires valid access right),
or manually copy "Absynth 6" folder to "%COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\Native Instruments\".
    Enjoy!

Here is the correct path, and if the keygen doesn't work, choose Absynth 6!

    (1.) Absynth 6 Content:
    1. Burn or mount ISO. Run our CMD installer (requires valid access right),
    2. Or UnRar it with WinRar --> Extract here
    3. Copy "Absynth 6" folder to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments

    (2.) R2R Keygen (Windows 11 worked):
    - Select "Absynth 6" and press the Register button.

    (3.) NativeAccess.xml Folder is here
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center

Or the devs played around with Refx vanguard 2, for some unknown reason... and they were like 'yehhhhh lets go with that!'

NI specialists carefully observe what the competition is doing, how the competition makes its money, and which graphical user interface is the most readable. I've attached three examples from the competition.

Question: Absynth 6.0.1 -- Absynth 5 third-party expansions not available & import presets function needed

It doesn’t have or need an “import” function because, unlike previous versions of Absynth where preset formats got changed, Absynth 6 can still load Absynth 5 format (.nabs) natively and also loads and saves presets in the same format used in Komplete Kontrol (.nksf). So you can just drop a folder of .nabs or .nksf presets directly into the Absynth 6 sounds location. If you want them to show in the actual list of banks in the Absynth browser the best way is just to copy each folder of bank files into '/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Absynth 6/Sounds/bankname - don't copy the whole sounds folder just the bank so the .nabs files are all top level

This also works with symlinks - just copy the symlink to the folder of .nabs over to the same location (these are Mac paths, but I'm sure there is an equivalent folder on Win)

Actually though you can also just leave them where they are in the Absynth 5 sounds folder and use Komplete Kontrol to manage the presets - I prefer this as it means I keep them all in one location rather than have copies all over the place and so Absynth 5 can also access them - Komplete Kontrol has my Absynth 5 banks location all added to the user library and now Absynth 6 is installed it opens them in Absynth 6 instead of Absynth 5 (they still appear under the Absynth 5 location but I don't mind that as I will still use Absynth 5 until they add the ability to use Libraries)

Obviously if banks are in an earlier format like .glo you will need to convert those to .nabs first in Absynth 5.

probably wanted to go for that futuristic GUI look, yet it will be hard to work with it, for longer sessions. :(

I was happy to see this announcement, but then found that Absynth 6 runs on Mac OS 14 and higher, and I remain with OS 13 (Intel), on which I can still run Absynth 5.

I've had Absynth 5 since I first got Komplete years ago and still haven't gotten around to actually using it. This news just piqued my interest in diving in finally but not sure if I should just stick with 5 and mess around with that first or see what this new one has to offer.

Why wouldn't you just go with the new one. It has all the old patches plus the new ones so really, what would be the point? Old version doesn't have mutate or randomization either which gives you endless one of a kind presets like Omnisphere 3.

For Absynth 5 users - locate your path to the files - the Username you use in the below link is whatever your login name is. This is the common directory unless you manually put them somewhere else, which means it will be that directory.
ALSO- Any custom patches made in Absynth 5 if usable ,will have the mutation and random amount engines available to them. I tested them.

    C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Native Instruments\Absynth 5\Libraries\
If for whatever reason it does not find them immediately, try putting the directory here:

The old one has those features too at least the mutate part. But truth be told if the new UI is more intuitive and it still retains the features of the old one as well as QoL fixes I may just learn with that one instead.

I trashed Absynth 5 and installed 6. I trashed 6 because it didn't sound like I thought it would...like a great synth should. I own Plasmonic even though for me it is a PITA to program (I'm a bit dense about some things) so Clevenger has been paid his due as a wiz. I've no regrets and saved a whole bunch of disk space.

99 bucks for an UI update is a joke.

I must say Absynth 6 is the best one thing, NI has done in years ...

After all the millions of Kontakt libraries, Expansion for machine and Massive X ... (dont need any of that),
they finally (re)made something, which will actual make them feel like its back in the days as they pushed boundaries and released innovative things.

You're not dense. I think you might feel the same as me perhaps? Time is valuable and I do not want to waste it getting what I require any longer than is absolutely necessary.

I agree, that was a great surprise. Maybe next they'll make the FM8 a bit more modern, bigger and better looking....!

In fact, Native Instruments has simply updated one of their successful
models, the Absynth VSTi from April 25, 2002, which retailed for $289.

Other successful models from NI include Kontakt, Reaktor (Monark, Razor, etc.), Guitar Rig, FM7 (later FM8), Massive (later Massive X), and of course hardware like Maschine, Kontrol, and Traktor.

And the funny thing is, they probably included that funky patch browser for that exact reason.

For me, I wanted or hoped the synth to be at least at the level of pigments in terms of quality, but knew deep in my heart (lol) that it would initially be a reskin. I hope they keep updating it.

For the next synthesizer, NI should write the code, Arturia should handle
the graphical interface, and UVI should use the browser system.

Ideally, the best should collaborate to create the best. A person can still dream, right?

If you don't like the green color of Absynth, then tough luck.

It's green to imitate the color of Absinthe, of course!

One annoying thing A6 is it's tendency to lose tuning settings when changing presets, mutating, or even restoring a session (this at least is a bug). This can of course be mitigated by liberal application of saving patches, but it's still annoying. Also while it can import .tun files you have to reimport every time you want to use a particular one, even if they're copied to the Tunings folder and otherwise work fine.

There oughta be a "tuning lock" switch, kind of like FX plugins have mix lock. Time to make a feature suggestion, I think.
