What legit libraries do you have out of interest?

 

I have read the manual and tried my best to understand it, but still don't understand how to generate the magic file. If you could give me an step by step on how to do it, that would be great.

 

Edit the registry settings so dump mode is set to 1. Then open the player and your Ilok manager so the player can see your licenses are active. You should then open your legit libraries and load each instrument within the library (as the dump will generate magic files for each of them into a folder called VSLEMU Dump on your desktop).

The total number of magic files should equal the amount of .syvolume files in your legit library. If it doesn't you might need to load up articulations within each instrument as some of the released string libraries on here separated things like staccato and spiccato short notes into different .syvolume files.

If the dump folder doesn't appear, try doing it from the VST version rather than the standalone as that was a problem I had (the player I have, although from R2R, seems to behave differently to other posters).

Once you've got all the magic files, change the dump mode back to 0, put the files into the R2R folder in the VSL > VSL Sychron Player folder in Program Data, run the VSLEMU Cache Builder and all the libraries should load in the cracked version.

Cracked versions will not work in legit Synchron Player. You open those with r2r version.

Out of curiosity I Dl'd one of the trials from VSL. Generating the magic files was as easy as written in the pdf. The only detail I would add to the directions is to hover over/click one of the options in the instruments menu. Within a few seconds, the magic files will generate/appear in a folder named 'VSLEMU Dump' on your desktop.

Once you have the 'magic' files, did you...
1) move them to the specified location in the Program Data folder?
2) run the VSLEMU Cachebilder to 'associate' them with other library files?
3) open the library with the r2r version of Synchron Player?

 

I'll add one important thing: before creating a dump, you need to delete all the libraries you've added to the player (i.e., the paths you specified earlier), close the player, and launch it again. Then add the library you want to hack. When hacking, you should always have only one library in your list.
Otherwise, the dump will not be created.
