Hi guys, I wanted to report a major issue with the latest release of R2R, Goodhertz 3.13.2 bundle. After several testing with multiple hosts, loading the plugins and adjusting them, then saving the projects and reopening them, they don't load with saved settings, but with random ones. I don't know what's causing this, but the plugins are essentially unusable. So be very careful if you use these plugins and don't install this broken version. At least until R2R eventually (hopefully) fixes it.

 

Have they stayed registered without issue?

It's not the first time a Goodhertz release has timebombed. It seems like they are sneaky enough to get timebombs past the witches once in a while.

 

Yes, they apparently remain registered without any issue. The unpleasant surprise is when you reopen the project, and ALL Goodhertz plugins haven't saved their settings. They load with a random one. It definitely seems like a release issue, probably an extra check or timebomb. A plugin that doesn't save its settings in the project is essentially unusable.

 

That's a bummer i just tried it myself, hadn't used them yet. Same issue, doesn't hold the saved state, goes default. Bitwig.

 

Confirmed. Seems like a silent timebomb. Goodhertz has always been a tricky company, with difficult-to-manage protection. Thanks Gyorgy, bundle uninstalled immediately

 

I also have the problem that they reactivate after saving the project, something I've had for almost 8 years. I've researched the problem repeatedly since then, but never found a solution. As soon as I have to reinstall the VST plugins, they reactivate. It's unbearable; they're simply a burden. Although I like these plugins, they've never been properly cracked since their release, which I find very questionable since all the other good plugins, some without time-bombs, still worked reasonably well. The only ones that work consistently for any length of time are the ones from V.R/CE, but I suspect those are only the very old versions.

 

So it's just like the old analogue days when you had to write down all the settings for each session in a note book. How much more authentic do you want it to be?

 

Quick test... the plugin only loads the default preset. You can change it, and it will then load that one... but that isn't that helpful as you can only ever have one default.

Preset save and restore work just fine, so I guess prepend the track name to it and switch the preset anytime you load the project.

No such issue on my end. Clean install on this system, no previous versions. I have expatriate.goodhertz.co added to my hosts file, just in case.

 

I have this done, and their entire domain blocked in firewall (Little Snitch). Would it surprise me for them to timebomb anyway? Not in the slightest. No saved state problems, ever actually. They always deauthorize completely instead.

 

Uhm, that's a tough one, everyone here seems to experience the same problem (no previous versions). Are you sure you've installed this latest version, released yesterday? This new R2R bundle relies on Block Runtime 2.3. You don't need to block the expatriate.goodhertz.co line. Older versions need that. I think it's a timebomb

Yes. Oddly enough, all plugins of this bundle don't save your settings. So when you reopen the project, they only and always load default preset settings. Something broken here

 

Yes I'm absolutely sure it's that latest one. Win10, FL Studio 25 and Studio One 6, multiple projects, multiple plugins per project, all exactly the same way I saved them, and yes I did change the setting in all of the plugins. And I just checked again.
I know it relies on the latest Network Block Runtime but try to add expatriate.goodhertz.co, and also www.expatriate.goodhertz.co to hosts. This is how I have it, and it works.
It's either the hosts thing or the clean install with no previous versions.

 

Did you save every plugin settings to new user presets? That works, but only if saved to presets. So totally useless in a work project. But here we have multiple reports of those issues from many users on the sister site, even though the post has now been removed after DMCA
(Anyway yes, www.expatriate.goodhertz.co blocked line in hosts, and clean install)

 

I did not. I loaded up an existing project, added a bunch of Ghz plugins, tinkered with the setting, saved the project and quit. Then did the same in another DAW. I loaded them a few times, tinkered with the settings a bit more, save and quit again. When I load the project it's at the settings it's been saved at.

I don't know what's the issue then. I don't think I did anything else out of the ordinary.
Dumb question perhaps, but do you have the required VCRuntime installed? Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (2015-2026) X64

 

Glad it works for you, but personally, plugins don't recall settings, like a lot uf users here and sister site. Plugins from previous bundle remember settings without any problem

 

Okay, how is it clean install if you had previous versions?
Not from VR, hopefully? Those are known to mess things up for the future installs.

 

This is a confirmed issue; you can read the reports on our sister site. Plugins don't recall settings. It's best to switch to previous version for now, 3.11.0. It's not affected by any issues and seems to work fine.

 

I previously installed last year's bundle, from R2R. Then I uninstalled it, removed all files and folders, and deleted Goodhertz registry keys. So a clean install
