Planning on buying Modo Bass but I’m wondering how many activations you get, if it uses some form of Ilok, or if I can use it on as many devices I can have the product manager installed on? And I’m wondering if this applies to other products like Mixbox which I already got from a plugin boutique offer and future licenses

 

It doesn't use iLok. It uses the IK Multimedia authorization manager application only. You can use it on 3 computers with a legit license. Maybe the one from PB could have less. You'd have to check. (or just install r2r version and call it a day). You still need this: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/authorizationmanager/

I was wondering so I could just use the “other” version on a laptop I have set up for someone who might want to get started with plugins without weighing my account down, I did this for Beam since it only let me use 3 devices at a time and the recent version didn’t add onto that

 

All the IK products I have allow 5 activations. Remember to de-activate them if you reset or switch computers as you can't do it later without raising a ticket.

 

I would only plan to have one active activation immediately, then another cause I’d get the plugin for Mac and continue to use the “demo” I have installed on my other laptop, then get another activation used when I get a Mac mini

 

you can just keygen the Mac copy with the retail installer. There is no "mac release" because there does not need to be one.

Once you give them your email address to use something for free; you are pretty much just keeping score. They are going to spam you one way or the other.
