Thanks for the tips! Firefox with turned off uBlock and turned off Ghostery makes sister site visible for me again.
Only the probably affiliated advertisements for LinkSnappy and Nordvpn are visible which were apparently blocked by uBlock.

I use the Brave browser and don't even use uBlock, only AdGuard, but even with all of that disabled, the page still freezes no matter what I do. I even downloaded several free VPNs, but that didn't help either, so the problem must be with the website itself. Yesterday it worked briefly for a moment, but now it's hopelessly stuck.

 

Use a different browser; Brave is designed to block ads. You need to disable and allow something in Brave.

i had already whitelisted it on uBlock. But had forgotten to whitelist on my brave browser too. Now its working normally.

 

click on brave icon, right next to URL box on upper right corner and disable shield for sister site.

 

bruh, be thankful at least someone is keeping the lights on.

 

To be honest, I just followed your tips, but that didn't help either. It must be a problem with the website itself, or it's Cloudflare again.

Works fine on my smartphone with Adblock Browser, so why it's not working on my laptop with Firefox and uBlock Origin ?

 

I am using a Firefox extension called User-Agent Switcher. I tick on one of the Mobile Android settings and it works fine without disabling uBlock.

 

I don't know what the actual problem is, but this worked for me:

disabling uBlock -> login to the site -> refreshing page -> re-enabling uBlock once I'm logged (site is unbearable without adblock)

Upon loading the page in a private window without ublock, I also noticed there is a big invisible div that covers the entire website. When clicking anything, it takes you to an ad. The div goes away after clicking and the site "unblocks". Weird... I'm on Firefox.

I believe the problem has something to do with this ad. It seems there is a script waiting for the user to click the ad to proceed, but since ublock removes the ad, the script never triggers.

Site is still completely borked for me, whether I use an adblocker or not. Only difference is that if I use an adblocker and I scroll down, the page turns white. But even without adblocker, I can't interact with any of the elements on the site, like clicking on posts to open them, and I get the "this page is slow af" popup in Firefox. Couldn't log in if i wanted to lol.
