Are they a Judas Priest tribute band?

Not, but similar style and sound. Speaking of Priest, Ralf (Gamma Ray singer) was one of the most likely to be the new Priest frontman after Rob Halford left, but in the end someone else was chosen.

That's not bad... I guess that's a Theramin in there?
Some time ago, I caught an interesting YT video of a woman who was sort of a specialist (current) with it.

I might look into Motorhead, which I've heard of (just the name) but seem to know little about (I might know some of their songs just not that it's them). Someone hereon may have posted a song from them and, looking into it, apparently they have 'influenced' Killing Joke, which I do like a fair bit. (Unsure they'll be plodding along after Geordie, so it's possibly the band's end as well.)

Inicidentally, how is it that you've been registered here for 10 years (Dec this year) yet only have 164 messages? I just registered this past Sep. and already have more messages. :D

Are you wiser after 10 years you think? Added insights over time and all that? :D

It is an EBow, it had been misspelled in release notes for many years as "Ebo" until the 1995 reissue :)

Motörhead has been an influence on quite a few bands, directly or indirectly. It doesn't take long to decide whether you like them or not, because they're a typical "what you see is what you get" band. (Lemmy himself was an even bigger influence than his band.)

10 years? Time is a bitch. If I remember correctly, I found the forum while looking for some technical info and according to the stats I wasn't an active poster.

Something about me and jazz: Much of what I hear, can't be 'sat down to' (do nothing else) and specifically listened to (although, admittedly, I've not explored it at length).
On the other hand, I can't think of better music to have in the background at small/intimate social events-- at least the jazz I've so far been exposed to.

As an aside, once upon a time at a combination bookstore-cafe, they played opera at a special event, but in a style I'd never heard before and that I quite liked, unlike all opera until that point. The sad thing is I was supposed to make a note of what it was but got sidetracked at the time.

That writ, I appreciate genres-- I guess art in general-- that get somehow 'stretched' beyond their usual forms and styles.

Now that I think about it, it's a bit like the band, The Police, that often took what sounds like reggae but put it in a different chord or whatever that might be called.

Same here in a way after going through the 'sister site'. It looks like you're posting more frequently now. At this rate, you should hit 200 messages by Dec 30, 2025, and break out the party hats. :D

Yes, time can be a bitch sometimes, if a healer other times. On the bright side (or dark side, etc., depending on how one wants to look at it), we may have 'quantum immortality'. If so, I guess we'll catch us back here in about an infinite years. That's a lot of comments. :D

(A bit more seriously, and along the music/audio theme hereon, my intuition keeps bothering me that quantum effects have something to do with feedback loops. Kind of like that speaker-microphone thing. But that's just my intuition that has a mind of its own. I take no responsibility for it. ;)

Ok, Motörhead... three selections... here goes...

Edit: "I don't wanna to live forever..." ~ Motörhead (Ace of Spades)

Bwahahaha... Too often we get what we don't want. There a lyric like that? Probably. :D

They were definitely influenced by Judas Priest.
