to the OP ... it's very difficult when people post a bit of music on here and ask "what do you think of it?", as no-one, especially me wants to be negative or harsh.

Everyone has to start somewhere, and I appreciate that most modern day musicians don't play live, and therefore have no way of guaging & refining their material in front of a real audience, which is far and away the best way to get feedback.

Also, pretty much every songwriter needs to write a whole lot of crap at the beginning until they learn their craft, especially structure & flow. (and most importantly, melody, harmony etc etc).

If it was finished & amazing, I'd advise you not to post it on here in the first place. Why post an incomplete "song"?

The riff/motif is ok actually, and some nice little embelishments, but obviously it lacks a vocal, so it isn't a song, just a piece of music.

It's not terrible by any means, but I'd be more interested in hearing your music a few years from now and not just an incomplete idea.

Please take this as positive feedback intended to be honest and helpful, and all the best with your music going forward!

Honestly? It builds like a sandwich, then gets heavy, and then it's done. I felt little emotional connection to the music, but noted competency in the instrumentation.
