Are all the patches and samples and everything from Nexus 2 included in newer versions of Nexus and its library? Just wanted to know cause I have a bit of a compel to dig up an old version but was wondering if it’s easier to just get the latest updates instead?

I've lost count how many presets there are in Nexus these days, but surely 10 million (OK, that's a slight exaggeration) is that not enough?

yes the original ROM of Nexus 2 is included as expansion in newer Nexus version.

I still use most of the time still Nexus 2 presets in the new N5, but finally one cant edit them much further.

The best reason to have all of the N5 content "installed" on an external disk is because of how things turn into "missing library errors", and so on.
The easiest and laziest way is to install all of it.

N2 content may have some overlap into v3/v4/v5 which are all consolidated into 5. N2 is another separate 20gb, more or less.

I probably would just use the updated Nexus 5 library since it’s still going to have the 2 content plus more, but I still need a separate drive for that

When I did the whole thing, I merged 2 into 5. Someone posted all the Third Party presets they had from v2, as: NEXUS 2 3rd Party Preset Collection 10000 with the following notes:

Over 10,000 third-party and custom presets from the era when Team Air released Nexus 2.2
These presets were encrypted and and had to be resaved. (For newer Versions)
I saved every single preset by hand with my 2.6 version so that I could use them in all higher Nexus versions.
I also renamed each preset and gave it a prefix so that they are categorized in the newer Nexus versions.
The previews are also included. These are saved locally in the content folder (and not just in the Nexus Cloud!)
