For Omnisphere 2? Yeah, I thought this was crazy but it was like 10$ so not completely unreasonable I guess.

People talk about using debrid service on here all the time. But many of them do not notice their debrid service can also function as a seedbox, which can be dropped onto another service. Some services let you, and some don't.

    Freefilesync : To mirror drives
Virtual Volumes Viewer : To scan and index the Drives so you can browse it offline ( search etc)

Use CMR ( Do not use SMR )HDD duplicates for each backup ( same contents on each drive using Freefilesync to make sure mirrors are 1:1)
Then index one set of the mirrors ( Main one for example ) with Virtual Volumes Viewer

Now you have mirrors of each backup on hard drives and drives are indexed to browse them while they are offline.

I power up the backups+mirrors every couple of weeks to keep them refreshed or to add data to the main drive then mirror that drive to the second backup to the mirror drive using Freefilesync.

For the main OS and installed applications :

Macrium Reflect Free edition : To backup the OS+Apps installed SSD to 2.5" HDD (on usb enclosures)

This gives me all I need for Data, downloads, OS backups and be back running quickly in case a drive fails.

OS drives are backed up every Friday's.

Several machines and laptops have to be done but this way it gives me a piece of mind so I can search virtually all the contents on Data backups all the way back to 1998 lol.

I'm really lost here. I'm not sure if it's a language thing or I'm just stupid :) Please elaborate.. teach me. For example - you say CMR .. so I google that. Nothing useful...

I back up all Kontakt libraries, other VSTs and install files (cracks and keygens) . You never know when they might get taken down by DMCA

Yep everything is backed up. I have a folder for all the non-audio shit, and a folder for strictly audio shit. Having been working with computers since the early 80s, the 'it's always available' argument doesn't always work. Torrents lose seeders, file shares expire and go away, developers go out of business and close down, servers die, shit gets taken away for DCMA hits, Apple swallows up your favorite dev and makes it Mac only, etc. Somebody get me a copy of the Radium SC-101 from 1998 so I can open an old Cubase VST24 project. That shit has been erased from history heh.

Relying on the internet to always be there and save you is not going to cut it. You need to learn to handle your business and take care of yourself without everybody else's help.

A majority of my plugins have backups in my hard drive, but for something like VCV, Reason 13 or Korg I only need the respective root installation, like Reason Companion will install all the Reason stuff, VCV downloads its modules, Korg software pass can install my plugins, everything else is stored in an external drive and especially certain rare eggs I have tried from the museum, need to organize everything and put the invaluable stuff somewhere I can download from cloud storage and other things could redownload if anything goes wrong if it’s been posted on any “icebergs” anywhere in the East…

In regards to audio software (mainly plugins), ya, I just hoard this stuff away on a large HDD. I don't go out of my way to put it anywhere else, including extra backups. I can get most of the stuff again if I wanted to.. I just keep it on an HDD for re-install convenience when I reformat and to hang on to stuff that is generally DMCA'd off the sister site.

yes i have all audio software releases, which i liked and used on a external HDD saved.

they are even in the same form groups have released them.

Its just to much work to redownload, when you install a new system or you can work on another system.
