Thanks for this useful info. I'm another hellbent person who wants to try making neuron sounds (on windows). Are you able to see the Neuron's interface skin? I'm able to change the parameters that ableton gives me with jbridge and get sound but it's just blank gray where the graphic interface should be. I see that model maker works but without seeing the interface I don't know how to connect the two.

The method I described to stop the memory leak in jBridged WIN32 Hartman Neuron VS is good :like:

Yes I see the UI. I never had that issue here. Try the various options in jBridge.

Also, Modelmaker never does connect to Neuron. It creates model files Neuron can use.

This is a guess since I am on S1, but it has cured other similar problems for me.

Hmm, I've tried just about every option. I hear the synth engine audio so I don't know why the UI wouldn't show up. I used the installation files that came from internet archive so maybe that's why? It was two .iso disk files and it said they installed successfully. I can't think of why the .dll wouldn't display the interface, from what little I know of vsts, the .dll has the UI images etc stored within it typically. I see in program files x86 that the hartmann sounds are there, so I'm assuming that the .dll vst itself would have code that links to this file directory? Maybe it's something to do with ableton itself, I dunno.

Did you get the vst from the original site or a mirror?

Update: I got Studio One like you have to try it but I'm still getting the same empty grey interface, maybe I'll try reinstalling everything. When I originally installed it, it tried to select the path of steinberg/vstplugins in the x86 program files folder and I changed it to ableton's which would be 64 bit, maybe that's where the problem lies?

In my previous message a couple pages ago I stated I had the Radium release. I don't even knw what that meas anymore lol. Anyway, if you find a version on the internet that includes a "fix", you probably have the "right" one. My motivation on this synth is dead, as providing any tech support. It's been two years and I have committed it to full purge status. No idea why the UI is black, gave you the things that came to mind. Gobbless.

Oh ok, I'm not familiar with Radium so I thought you were referencing it as another softsynth with similar issues. That's completely understandable, I'm mainly just riffing to myself in case someone has any random ideas or download links. Just as a hobby I'm going to see if I can fix it and will post results/info if so. Thanks a lot for your help though, the ram leak issue fix is good to know as well.

If yours has the cracked dll in a clearly marked folder stating such, you have the "right" one.
