I remember the real sensation and legend of audioUTOPIA, which appeared suddenly, laid out everything one could dream of, said it was easy, and then disappeared just as suddenly—as if some genius had had a little fun and then moved on to more serious matters!))

Another observation: R2R often release their material immediately after other bands, giving the impression that they have long since broken through but don't want to share, and release after others just so they don't fall behind.

A reverb? Maybe even a room simulator? That new GuZheng is going to sound great in there.

Read the nfo file from the release of the Vertigo plugins. They included a detailed writeup about them, less than 24 hours after a Mac release. There was absolutely no way they did all of the involved work so quickly just to "catch up". They even wrote a little about why some things can be done but are not released, and point to examples like the Sir Audio plugin releases which "will not be be done properly" until someone coughs up a legit un/sn. That is why their keygen method is always the superior work. So when someone puts something out like that, there is no reason to hold something because the authorization will just be changed anyway. This is all public information in their nfo files. Some people should just read them more closely.

Don't be so condescending. I understand you think everyone here is an idiot, and that I've just found the holy grail.
Then please explain your point of view again in a way that's easy to understand. What am I supposed to learn and understand?

For algorithmic plugs, UAD was a leader for a long time, but lately they are being challenged. Relab is one company that is really crushing it, there are a few others as well. Maybe they don't have a 2500, but if they did develop one, i have no doubt it would out-perform UAD's. As far as the highest fidelity / closest emulation, personally i would consider that to be AA Pink or Alex B's "American 25" for Nebula, but that's not really a fair comparison, as its hard to compare algo with convolution. For what its worth I have a ton of experience with a lot of actual hardware, and I would still say that UAD was the best in hardware emulation, but are falling behind.

Agreed. But ReLab is yet ANOTHER greatly requested but never released set of tools. Almost as many reqs for relab as there are for UAD, yet we never see 'em. Along with Sonnox, Cedar, Soundtoys, Protools, the new acustica stuff, the Nebula greats, etc, etc... Yet the mediocrity flows day to day like water...

... #Reply 1213, thank goodness there's a wide selection of reverb plugins available now. It wasn't always like this. Back in 2010, we only had the "Lexicon PCM Native Reverb Plug-In Bundle VST RTAS 1.1.3 Win + MAC from TEAM AiR | 10/2010" and the update "Lexicon PCM Total Bundle v1.2.6 and v1.3.7 WIN VST from Team AudioUTOPiA."

That was already very good for us users—finally, high quality and ease of use. Who would have thought back then how many reverb plugins there are today? I think the Lexicon bundle cost €1200 back then, if I'm not mistaken.

What most people forget in their complaining is that many companies are fighting for survival and have to implement massive cost-cutting measures due to the changed competitive landscape and consumer behavior.

Although the market for UAD and others is now worldwide, thanks to the internet. Including [the following], businesses will disappear or be bought out; perhaps only the best will survive due to natural selection.

Greetings from a Lexicon, FabFilter, Nomad Factory, and Waves enthusiast.

I've been making the joke for years now, if you want an r2r version of something, just wait for someone else to release theirs. R2R will never be too far behind. Like clockwork.

Team R2R had other names at the beginning of their meteoric rise: Team Peace-out --> Team Assign --> Team R2R
I already know what I'll be reading later when I'm ancient and looking back: NFO's!

Don't forget that AudioUtopia k'd those products, they were slightly vulnerable, Pro Tools 12 used iLok 2 not as hard as the newer v3, protection was good but nothing compared to today's , when AudioUtopia led the "unexpected" attack that created a storm which led eventually to harder protection, so cracking a piece of software doesn't make more vulnerable in future but it strengthen it (that's the game) just like what happened in PT 2021.7, Avid added extra layers of protection making it even harder, same goes for Softube, liquidsonics and more, they didn't gave up instead they play Chess... That's the beauty of it overall, this is why i believe R2R's "mission" is harder because of comparaison (to what AudioUtopia did back in 2016) which is not a fair comparaison tbh, and because everyone's expectations.

First, every company or manufacturer has the right to protect its products.
Second, sometimes you should financially support the people who worked on them.

On the other hand, anyone who posts things online knows that they can be hacked or that their company can be attacked and extorted with ransomware. In my opinion, the forum rarely talks about the people who produce these things and the conditions under which they live and work.

Team R2R is Robin Hood for the poor. As Team Air already said: Because we're not millionaires.
R2R once said: Support the company you like. Team Beat said back then: Test it before you buy it.

Ultimately, this means for the teams: Don't get caught! Cracking is a criminal offense!

I still hope Reason 13 is on R2R’s gong list, but whatever R2R brings next, I’m super thankful, Omnisphere 3 is already more than enough for me.
