"not full working" is not that it is missing anything. "not fully working" could be said to be semantically more accurate. Meaning it has problems, of which there were many user comments about. More than just a few people doing something wrong. That would be everything.

 

Oh yeah, Magic 7 is... well, magic. I can't compare it to a real M7 since I've never used one, but it can do some very solid and thick plates.

And while you have to create an account to claim it there are no bullshit download managers or activations, just an installer. Almost refreshing these days.

Nah, they probably decided to wait till after the 4th of Nov, as UAD is releasing a new batch of Native plugins on the 4th.

R2R is probably just waiting to update the original release with the new batch of native plugins, since UAD's announcement came just a few days ago.

 

As I posted very early on....this is a trick with no treat.
Maybe they are making a statement. I find it difficult to believe they would post a sloppy crack. But I have noticed before Halloween, some of their gifts were needing extra fixes. It is as if a different new team took over. There was also a rift between another team recently.

Just my 2 cents of speculation.

 

It was already discussed here a few times but word on the street no plugin can 100% emulate a M7. All of them are IR based, even 7th Heaven, so the tails won't have the lame lushness due the lack of modulation and the way that the pre delay works. There are a lots of videos of M7 hardware as well, where you can verify that.

But the thing about Magic7 is the fact that they use the very same IR's with an unique modulation style that fits very well with the M7 sound. It will sound like a new thing based on Bricasti IR's, so at least you will get a funcional predelay and mod that will make those IR's sing in a nice way.

It's good to notice that for Ambience and Rooms, IR's have no issue. Even Michael Brauer use IR's on the Slate loader for Ambiences, and the endorsed Bricasti captures can be downloaded for free. The challenge comes with the longer decays.

 

All the R2R releases since the summer break have been working really well, with the appareance of Block Runtime even better. Furthermore, the iLok releases have been superbly refined. I'd say the GOAT Team is still in a Gold Era, also in a "Great Renewal" stage. This year, they're updating an incredible number of tools, ensuring overwhelming superiority over AAA protections, even the most complex ones, for years to come. And when the R2R System arrives, we'll see some really interesting things. I suggest everyone here to wait a moment; I think something really big is coming. Have faith.

 

Yeah I think if it wasn't a big release, they wouldn't have waited this long after Halloween with the anticipation heightening. But what do I know. They're probably laughing at this thread right now. haha.

More reasonable seems to me that the Halloween gift was the Pianoteq. Noone cracked at the past. Keep your money for the extra packs /sounds fits also. But someone else made it some days before, so unfortunately Witches were late in the game and they didn't release it.

Pianoteq 6 was cracked in the past, it's just not been cracked in a while. The witches said it'll be something that hasn't been seen before.
