Hi all, just a quick question here. I own a legit Falcon 3 and I have every single soundware/library that UVI put out for it (as recently as this past month) but through their Sonic Pass subscription (Falcon I own, it’s add-ons I rent). All of the add-ons are sitting on an external hard drive because they’re huge (700GB+). I’ve been out of the loop for a while so, I was wondering if there was a way for me to make these libraries “my own” so that I can cancel my subscription? I know there was an R2R UVI emulator floating around but I don’t know what tools I am missing and what I need to do, let alone if this is even possible!

thanks for any help in advance!

Hi @Feonix, you have to choose: either cracked software or purchased UVI; you can't have both.

If you choose Team R2R, uninstall your UVI - Falcon VSTi and all sound libraries and re-download the complete UVI - FACLON package and all sound libraries from the sister site. I wrote an overview of how to install it back then:

Installation instruction for the UVI - Falcon v2.5.3 VSTi / Emulator / Factory / Expansions

    Falcon VSTi

    1.) Download and Unrar the " UVI.Falcon.v2.5.3.Incl.Emulator-R2R "
    2.) Click on the " Setup Falcon v2.5.3 "
    3.) Inside the Folder is the " 00000E10F2DD0E11.R2RUVI "
    4.) Copy the " 00000E10F2DD0E11.R2RUVI " into " C:\ProgramData\UVI\R2R "
    UVI Emulator
    1.) Click on " Setup UVIEMU v1.0.8 "

    Factory

    1.) Download and unrar the " UVI.Falcon.Factory.Library.v2.5.1-R2R "
2.) Create a folder with the name " Falcon " and copy it to where you have space. (Preferably SSD)
3.) Copy the File " Falcon Factory.ufs " into the new " Falcon " Folder
    2.) Inside the Folder is the " 00000E10F2DD0E11.R2RUVI "
    3.) Copy the File into: " C:\ProgramData\UVI\R2R "

    UVI Library / Expansions

    1.) Download and unrar
    2.) Copy the " B-5 Organ V3.ufs " into the " Falcon " Folder (ending *.ufs)
3.) in the R2R Folder is the Registration File with the ending: *. R2RUVI
    4.) Copy the Registration File " 000025694821256A.R2RUVI "
    4.) into " C:\ProgramData\UVI\R2R "

Open Falcon in your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW)

1.) Click on the tool wrench
    2.) Scroll down to " Preferences "
3.) A new window opens and select "Soundbanks"
4.) Add the new Soundbanks path, Falcon folder, where your expansions are in.

That doesn't really apply here. Everything he has right now is legit. He wants to use the emulator so that his Sonic Pass content becomes "shareable", as all R2R library versions have had done to them prior to being released by them. That does mean he would need to uninstall the legit version of Falcon and install R2R's version.

But the issue is flipping the Sonic Pass content to "working with R2R Falcon". I think the pitfall, if any; will be that Sonic Pass probably does not give the user individual licenses for each expansion. In which case, from nfo: "Support EDEN encrypted SoundBank by emulation. You need one R2RUVI file for one library"" won't work. Just a guess, but they would probably mention the user being able to do this. Unlocking all that content for $30 would be a pretty desirable situation compared to getting them all done one-by-one.

Personally, I hate subscriptions. I'd cancel it anyway, use R2R version for everything; and then if there are expansions you really want or need which are unshared, just buy those. Make them shareable and working with R2R version of Falcon.

FYI I own a couple I purchased you are correct mostly. Cancel subscription uninstall all associated software and use the specific R2R Installs and library ProgramData files and they all work - this is of course that there are R2R files for every one of his libraries which there likely is not. So yes the $30 option if it exists might be a better idea.

I think they would mention that if it was available as an option. Those R2R files you mention, are created by legit owner using R2R's tool which is included with their Falcon and Workstation releases. If just using Sonic Pass content to do so would work; they would have every expansion (obv. excluding newest ones no-one has purchased yet) and they do not.

Hi all, thank you so much for your helpful replies. I just want to make sure that I understand you correctly: only Falcon ~v2.5 has been [K]’d, correct? And that my current download(s) of all the packs wouldn’t do me any good since it’s not those files I am looking for? Or would I keep those files and still go looking for their counter-part license(s)?

I am starting to think that keeping the subscription might be the better, safer play for me since:

I don’t have to downgrade from Falcon 3; there are many months when I pause my subscription since whatever project I am on at that very moment doesn’t require any help from Falcon (or any other UVI product, for that matter) and, lastly: I am able to quickly grab whichever new product they happen to (often-times) — unexpectedly drop.

For the price of just $28 per month…I spend more than that just buying stupid stuff out of the local corner store deli/7-Eleven around my way (i.E.; Juul pods:facepalm:)

EDIT: It looks like Falcon 3 has, in-fact, been [K]’d. However, because so many good add-ons have been released since 2023 (this is when the ‘unlocked’ packs first hit the WareZ-scene) — I’m afraid to admit the measly $28 is [definitely] worth all that you get for it: the workstations, libraries and, don’t forget — all the plug-in(s) (not to mention constant updates to all the Soundwares, with new ones being introduced/added routinely and, lastly…the peace-of-mind knowing you’re working hassle-free). UVI’s Portal really could not be any easier to use when it comes to integrating directly with your plug-ins and/or libraries folders, respectively.

Okay…but do you need to own the Soundware/library in order to generate its license? Or can you do so with the downloads you get from being a monthly SonicPass member (i.E.; renting their products)?
