Pop music at its peak. I always come back to these because the "modern" pop scene is really not my taste anymore. (With very few exceptions.)

It was co-founded by Simon Collins (lead vocals, drums, percussion), son of Phil Collins.

They're not bad, just a touch repetitive. There is no chorus or refrain or whatever the shift in a tune is called. What do you think? It made the difference between giving them an 'Interesting' over a 'Like'. Some tunes can get away with it, some not so much. For a second, looking at the preview image, I thought they were some Santa Christmas thing. (Have you done your holiday gift shopping yet? Why wait 'till after Halloween when you can beat the rush!)

Some weeks ago, in my periodic foray for 'something new', I came across a band in some place I forget, but maybe Afghanistan or a place that looked like it in my imagination, and they were good, but my beef with them was that all their tunes I decided to listen to were a bit too droney for me. I forget the band, but if I catch them again, I might post to here.

It's Trust In Me by Holly Cole. I got the same thing/block from a fellow commenter's Tear For Fears' song. Localising a YT channel on the internet seems kind of questionable, since part of the whole point of the net is its globality.

The point, just for fun, behind two of my posts was as a kind of continuational/inspirational followup of the immediately-preceding tunes of others'. Like if we were both manning a radio station and I had to decide, from a thematic standpoint, what came after my fellow DJ's tune. So I chose Holly Cole for example for the previous jazz tune. Maybe I should open up a new thread if there is none that tries that.

Cole's not my type (the woman, not the specific song) but was a bit of a cutie in the image nonetheless.

Oho, potential opportunity awaits. I wish him well in his pursuit, should he choose.

'Like' for the first one, 'Interesting' for the second. But, 'vinyls'?! We now have large-scale global data centers! ;)
