It´s just some take the challenge and then dissappear, there is no reason, why would they released updates, since it´s all about breaking the protection clean as possible.
You also need to leak them licenses, so they can analyze and compute keygens, etc..

 

Not that I'm hoping for this to be true (maybe a little), but what if R2Rs "huge legendary monster which never showed up before" was the EastWest Opus Player, which could then bring the monster HOLLYWOOD ORCHESTRA OPUS EDITION (944GB in size) and their other newer products which require the Opus player. R2R teased us in their 2021 EastWest releases: "You need R2R PLAY/OPUS release to use this library (as a witch has said...)". Opus player and Opus orchestra never showed up before...

Most audio software can eventually be found on sale for prices like that. Plugin Boutique was selling Sonnox plugins almost all summer for ~90% off. If you do a little emailing, you can frequently get discount codes. A lot of people mention the costs of r&d/development, marketing involved with making a plugin; but all getting a code from them costs is the transfer bandwidth, and probably not even that. Another sale is close to free money to them, and no code = no sale.

 

I saw an old Sweetwater ad called "Monsters of Compression", my gut says that may be where the Pokemon reference comes from but I'm most likely imagining things
