I cant install ANY TCD or TeamCubeadooby installer it always stop and a sign pop up saying an error occurred while trying to copy a file and itsa always the Vst3 or Vst2 dll.

This started to happen when i jumped ship and upgraded to Win 10 from Win 7 i never had that issue on Win 10 and it doesnt matter if i use my Ghost Spectre version or a "legit" microsoft version
There was some R2R installers from 2023 that did the same thing but i can install all R2R after 2023 and all Mocha and V.R and other group aswell
This problem only occure with TCD/TeamCubeadooby releases.

Is it me or does anyone else experienced the same thing? and doesn anyone has a solution to the problem?, as there are some plugins that TCD/TeamCubeadooby has that i really want that no other group has cracked.

Quite a few threads on this: https://www.google.com/search?q=site:audiosex.pro+"out+of+memory"

Non-exhaustive list of solutions from those threads: For some just rebooting fixes it, some needed to close RivaTuner or some other resident program, some needed to install pending Windows updates, some had to (re)install C++ runtimes and reboot.

When I encountered such a problem with VR releases, I removed all files of the app and then made a clean installation. It worked then well.

Did you do a clean install of Win 10 or just upgraded through 7, I find the best is to always do a clean install on a formatted drive put in the drivers you need then use All-In-One Runtimes 2.5.0 then you can start installing your software. Personally I always start with a clean formatted drive, I never have issues when doing OS upgrades this way it may take a bit more time but worth it to avoid problems. BTW my main offline music PC still has 7 with all that I require so I never need to upgrade the software.

This problem despite what the error says, has really nothing to do with memory, which makes things harder to fix. It is a TCD issue since they make the installers and they are using known configurations for the installer that trigger this error.

If you have MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner installed, try closing it and see if it runs. I also had success installing any pending updates before using the installer. Worst case scenario, you can unpack the installer with innoextract or a similar tool for Inno installers.

No i dont have afterburner installed.
When i first jumped ship to win 10 in april (I immediately disabled Win Defender which i REALLY HATE using a script) then i wanted to install all my guitar plugins from Nembrini and Kuassa and it i got that annoying Out Of Memory i tried to solve it but failed so i did a reinstall and was able to install ONE of those plugins but then the Out Of Memory came back when i tried to install the next plugin.
Luckily i still had the system drive i had my win 7 machine so i could do a "No Install" option copying all files to their dedicated folders but that doesnt help for newer. TCD releases

I tried to use Innoextract but for some odd reason i never managed to extract any installer i tried with several installers and always failed.

I started to think it is a hardware issue since my win 10 machine was built for gaming and not for audio when i built my studio machines in the past i always carefully choosed mainboard, graphic card (which of course was NOT for gaming as a daw machine doesnt need a gaming graphic card) cpu and memory etc that was best for audio use this time i bought a machine from a guy that build them for gaming as i was lazy i really regret that decision

    Increase Virtual Memory (Pagefile):
This is a top fix for "Out of Memory" during installs, as it expands the system's usable memory pool.

How to Change the Windows Pagefile Sizes --> https://mcci.com/support/guides/how-to-change-the-windows-pagefile-size

    Calculating optimal page file size

Modern systems require nuanced configuration based on specific usage patterns and available resources. The traditional advice of matching page file size to RAM no longer applies universally. Instead, look at your typical workload and system specifications when determining optimal settings for Windows page file settings.

Recommended configurations for different RAM amounts:

    • 4GB RAM: Initial 4GB, maximum 8GB
    • 8GB RAM: Initial 8GB, maximum 16GB
    • 16GB RAM: Initial 16GB, maximum 24GB
    • 32GB RAM: Initial 20GB, maximum 40GB
    • 64GB RAM: Initial 32GB, maximum 64GB
    www.ninjaone.com/blog/manage-windows-10-virtual-memory-pagefile
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating "Out of Memory" error during the installation of those audio plugins (likely VSTs from Nembrini and Kuassa). Based on similar reports from users installing custom or repackaged software (especially Inno Setup-based installers common in audio tools), this error often isn't about actual physical RAM shortages—it's more likely tied to virtual memory limits, installer compression/decompression demands, system configuration, or temporary Windows glitches. Your gaming hardware shouldn't be the culprit for installation (though for DAW/audio work, you might want low-latency drivers like ASIO4ALL later on). Let's troubleshoot step by step with proven fixes from Windows communities and audio forums.

    Quick Checks Before Trying Fixes
    • Monitor Resources: During the next install attempt, open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) > Performance tab. Watch RAM, CPU, and Disk usage. If RAM spikes but doesn't max out, it's probably not hardware.
    • Run as Admin: Right-click the installer > Run as administrator.
    • Close Everything: Shut down all non-essential programs, browsers, and background apps before running the installer.
    • Free Up Disk Space: Ensure at least 10-20 GB free on your system drive (C:). Clear the Temp folder: Press Win + R, type %temp%, hit Enter, select all files, and delete (skip any in use).
    • Re-enable Defender Temporarily: Even though you hate it, try re-enabling Windows Defender (via Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security) for one test install—it sometimes interferes less than expected with certain setups. Disable again after if needed.
    Step-by-Step Fixes
Try these in order. Many users with similar plugin install errors (e.g., on audio forums) resolved it with virtual memory tweaks or system cleanups.

    1. Restart and Update Windows/Drivers:
      • Restart your PC 2-3 times in a row—some glitches clear up magically.
      • Check for Windows updates: Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates. Install any pending ones, including optional.
      • Update motherboard/chipset drivers: Download Snappy Driver Installer (free from sdi-tool.org) and run it to scan/update. This has fixed RAM management issues for some.
    2. Increase Virtual Memory (Pagefile):
      • This is a top fix for "Out of Memory" during installs, as it expands the system's usable memory pool.
      • Right-click This PC > Properties > Advanced system settings > Advanced tab > Performance > Settings > Advanced tab > Virtual memory > Change.
      • Uncheck "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives."
      • Select your system drive (C:), choose Custom size.
      • Set Initial size to 1.5x your physical RAM (e.g., if 16 GB RAM, set 24576 MB). Set Maximum size to 3x (e.g., 49152 MB).
      • Click Set > OK > Restart PC.
      • Test the install. If it works, you can revert to automatic management later.
    3. Limit Boot Memory Temporarily (msconfig Trick):
      • Some Inno Setup installers choke on systems with high RAM due to decompression limits. This workaround caps it during boot.
      • Press Win + R, type msconfig, hit Enter > Boot tab > Advanced options.
      • Check "Maximum memory" and set to 8192 (8 GB).
      • Apply > OK > Restart.
      • Run the installer. After success, go back to msconfig, uncheck/unset the limit, and restart again.
    4. Run System Scans and Repairs:
      • Malware/Adware Scan: Download and run AdwCleaner (free from malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner) and Malwarebytes (free scan). Quarantine anything found.
      • System File Check: Open Command Prompt as admin (search CMD, right-click > Run as admin). Run these one by one:
        • sfc /scannow (fixes corrupted system files).
        • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (repairs Windows image).
        • chkdsk C: /f /r (schedules disk check on restart; say Y and reboot).
      • Dependency Check: Ensure Visual C++ Redistributables are installed. Download the all-in-one pack from majorgeeks.com (search "Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes All-in-One") and run it.
      • Clean Old Install Files: Use WizTree (free from diskanalyzer.com) to scan your drive and delete large cached MSI files (often in C:\Windows\Installer). Or try WICleanup (from appnee.com/wicleanup) for automated removal.
    5. Extract Instead of Installing (Since Innoextract Failed Before):
      • Your installers are likely Inno Setup-based, so extraction bypasses the memory issue. If Innoextract didn't work last time, double-check your command or try alternatives.
      • Innoextract Guide:
        • Download the latest Windows binary from constexpr.org/innoextract/ (or GitHub: github.com/dscharrer/innoextract).
        • Extract the ZIP, open Command Prompt in that folder (Shift + right-click > Open command window here).
        • Run: innoextract "path\to\your\setup.exe" (replace with actual path; use quotes if spaces).
        • It should extract files to an "app" subfolder. Copy them manually to your plugin directories (e.g., C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 for VST3 plugins).
      • Alternative: Innounp:
        • Download from sourceforge.net/projects/innounp/.
        • In CMD: innounp -x "path\to\setup.exe".
        • Extracts to a folder; same manual copy process.
      • Universal Extractor 2: Free from legroom.net/software/uniextract. It handles many setup types—point it at your EXE and extract.
      • If extraction still fails, the file might be corrupted—redownload it. Or try on another PC to isolate if it's your system.
    If Nothing Works
    • Test on Another Machine: Borrow a laptop or build a quick VM (use VirtualBox, free) with Win 10 to see if it installs there. If yes, it's a config issue on yours.
    • Reinstall Windows Cleanly: As a last resort (since you already did one), back up data, create a bootable USB with Media Creation Tool (microsoft.com/software-download/windows10), and do a fresh install. Keep Defender off post-install if preferred.
    • Hardware Angle: Gaming builds are fine for audio installs, but for running DAWs/plugins, ensure your audio interface/drivers are optimized (e.g., no DPC latency spikes—check with LatencyMon tool from resplendence.com). If it's truly hardware, test with memtest86 (bootable from memtest86.com) for RAM errors.
If you provide more details—like your RAM amount, exact error timing, or a screenshot—it could narrow it down. Hang in there; this is solvable without rebuilding hardware.

What sometimes happens, the old files can’t be removed by the updated installer and we need to remove every trace of the old version manually then.

It can be also caused by too long path.

I can install audio apps even on a tablet. I can’t use them afterwards due to machine weakness of course.

The gaming or not gaming laptop doesn’t matter.
