it sounds nice. it's hard to say the guitar part comes in too quietly with such a short clip of it; but it's probably safe to say you could bring it up some if you wanted to. On the first quick listen I didn't notice that, but after reading your comment about it I hear what you mean.

Hello @krp music, I've listened to the piece ten times. Fantastic song, very good voice.
I can't find any mistakes; a professional would surely find something that could be improved.

Thank you for checking it out clone. Yes actually the platform is just playing the short version of the song. In this part ur right, the strumming actually sounds quieter and the banjo could be a little less loud. oh and If you have the time, please listen to the full version? its searcheable as "gods got you on speed dial krp" thank you again!

    Hey
Pulsewave, thank you so much!! oh mannn thank you for checking it out like 10 times haha! i was told a few times that the voice could be a notch less loud, but i actually dont use that Dynamic eq or whatever its called? probably thats why its sticking out... idk.

    Congratulations on your release!

I want to make a suggestion on the EQ balance, as I found after listening to your track that you can have the biggest improvement there ( my opinion of course).

Your mix is heavy right around 3k, and almost every instrument benefits quite a lot from some midrange between 300 and 400 Hz (of all things).
I suspect that might be the result of your monitoring, so If you try cutting with a wide Q on 3k and boosting your mids, Its probably going to sound like bogus to you on your mixing setup.

Try doing those moves on your master bus, or If that's too heavy handed, do It on your main vocal, render your new master, and take It somewhere else where you can listen to your original, the new version and other songs similar to yours. A car stereo or even a phone could work for this. It's just to take you out of your usual context.

You have a great voice and something to say lyrically, so your voice should be clearly audible and not drowned out. Of course, you can record multiple versions of a song, but since you mix it yourself, you're usually a bit self-conscious. Why not make a version 2 or 3 of it where you turn the vocals down a bit? I would take your time and always listen to it again with rested ears.

Hey Noir. first off, thanks for checking out my music friend. You are right, i just use my krp gp4, the standard 770 pro for cans, and an additional one plus in ears bullets earphones - just 3 places before i render. Limitation w me is i dont have a proper car let alone a stereo (i own a 25 year wagon R by maruti suzuki) with a cheap jbl style tiny handheld speaker so i actually dont get immediate access to car play. and im aspiring to post a song a week to go viral so thats what im working with!
That said, ur actually spot on about the eq. I almost never add an eq on the master bus. Im going to try this w my current release, although the vibe is very very different.. lets see. I will keep the 3k region in mind (cut or adjust) and attention to the 300-400 hz region. Thank you again

Thank you Pulse. Yes i do need to tweak it but since im trying to keep up with a song a week and im doing everything myself, i would have to keep that for the next track coming next week. I havent got the vocals down on that yet, let me post the instrumental for now on a seperate thread. Thank you again pulsewave.

Hey everyone, this is a new track, part of my song a week series. Thoughts on the mix? its not a mastered version so volume would be low, the claps are also a tad too loud i feel.

I think it sounds good overall. I like the percussion. If you want honesty, while it sounds good, I have an issue with the riff that repeats throughout. To me it has no depth, nothing to say, but there it is blaring in my face for two minutes. I find it quite irritating.

It could be improved; the basic idea is great, the instrumentation too, but it's still lacking a bit.
Maybe they should just add some vocals.

Yup i kind of want to do something about that riff as well. My thing is i am trying to make a viral pop song and i have noticed that a lot of them have some sound that sticks. I am actually using two elements here, the indian flute and that riff. Lets see how i goes! Will be sitting down on the lyrics today maybe the lyrics would, hopefully take the attention away from the main riff!

Seems like a well balanced mix, just like your previous Speed Dial song.
Open sounding and airy, nice details in the stereo field on decent headphones.
    Well done, great job!
Btw, just being curious; what equipment did you use?
I mean instruments, software, audio interface, mics and so on?
    Thanks again, keep it up!
