Speaking of Billy, I want to remember another tragic and forgotten figure from that era.
Just listen to how powerfully produced this song is—it’s absolutely brilliant. Produced with Howard Gray of later Apollo 440

    some more tracks...

It's the spooky season, let's listen to some great music related to it.

'The Darkest Side of the Night' by the band Metropolis, which was originally featured in the movie Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.

I think this needs no introduction :)

Trick or Treat movie soundtrack from 1986 by Fastway.
(Eddie Clarke's band, who was the original guitarist for Motörhead in terms of albums.)

    TON!

They were one of the coolest bands and yes, Peter Steele is irreplaceable, period. I first heard about them back in the MTV era around '92-'93 and their music immediately captured my attention. They were one of my musical influences in the '90s and since Peter has unfortunately been gone since 2010, their discography has become even more valuable to me. They don't have a single bad album, even the very first Slow, Deep and Hard is lovable - in fact, for some people it was the "real TON". That unique self-irony and Peter's peculiar melancholic music world cannot be confused with anyone else. It's good to see that since he passed away, TON has slowly become even more popular. I think they've become a kind of "cult band" in a positive sense. I don't understand why they didn't immediately come to mind when I thought of October and Halloween...

I was lucky enough to see them live at Nottingham's Rock City. Amazing gig. It was my son's first gig (my wife was pregnant with him at the time!). He's still a big fan and wears his TON hoodie with pride. This is their ultimate Halloween track though!
