Anyone else here experiencing mute/noise-timebombs in Pulsar Modular releases (especially by moria from the sister site)?
To be precise, if plugins are added on a fresh track, they also ask for activation. [IMG]
Noise is applied when opening recent projects with PM plugins already in usage.
    This happens offline.
The AU plugins worked flawlessly until 4-5 weeks after installation.
I already tried reinstalling after removing all related files from the system, also with older releases. Still the same.
    Has anyone solved the issue?
    Thanks.

Which plugins? What firewall do you have them blocked with? Do you have Pulsar Modular website domain blocked either via hosts or by firewall? Which one...

Thanks for your reply. These Plugins seem to inflect each other with the timebomb:

    P821 MDN Tape,
    Q Sahara
    P11 Abyss
    P19 Igloo
    P42 Climax
    P44 Magnum
    P422 Fairuz v1.6.4
    P440 Sweet Spot
    P450 MDN EQ
    P455 MDN Sidecar

Blocked all in & outgoing traffic via LittleSnitch

Glad to hear. Let's see if someone else had the same issue (and could solve it maybe?)

I can say I don't have a single issue in logic nor Nuendo on neither of my Macs, m3 ultra and m4 max both on tahoe... not a single issue with any pulsar modular plugin including the new p410.and yes I use little snitch to block both apps

I think this is your problem: Logic Pro 11.2.2 macOS Tahoe

Moria has released these plugins so many times, it's very unlikely any mistake was made. But if they are not tested on Tahoe, then who knows wether the patcher Moria is probably using is going to [k] them correctly.

This is what happens when you want to update stuff more than you want to make music using your already working perfect system.

Logic is fine. MacOS Tahoe is an update you should have waited on.

i'd probably just use Wide Blue Audio Plugin uninstaller to remove them all. Then use Find Any File to make sure you have found all the Pulsar Modular related files. Be Careful you do not wipe out anything from just Pulsar Audio. Then reinstall each Pulsar Modular plugin again and test them one by one, or at least the ones you consider important or not easily replaced by other plugins you already have. Or install only what you need to open active projects you are working on right then when you go to load the project. Not just something "you haven't finished yet".

Most of them are easily replaced anyway. They are good plugins but they are nothing you probably don't already have better ones to replace them with. Easily.

wrong, ive been on tahoe for 4 months... I was a beta tester. and clearly I posted the same.. m3 ultra Mac Studio and m4 max mbp.. I don't have a single issue so the issue isn't tahoe... now ive had this happen with other plugins before b/c the plugin called home and little snitch wasn't installed.

    Best Answer
    a) kill the beta tester bs. No-one believes the whole "someone important thing". From anyone, about anything. See d)
    b) on other forum with many, many Mac users who are all installing things of this nature; there are plenty of users who are having issues with Tahoe and [k]'d software.
    c) we are not discussing "other plugins", only Pulsar Audio plugins from Moria.
    d) We are discussing Mac software, not Sequoia the DAW. It has been Windows only and will probably never be available for Mac. I've never heard from a "mac beta tester" who forgets what OS they are using for major software applications.
    e) Things still can "call home" past Little Snitch because like most users, you probably trust all MacOS factory installed Apple Programs. Little Snitch not catching it, especially during installation of said applications) . Try blocking the actual installer before running it with another application, or at least set Little Snitch to Alert Mode so you can see what is happening. Wireshark is of course a more complete monitoring solution.
    f) you do not even know what individual versions of these Moria releases he has installed.

I'm even surprised no-one mentioned me saying Moria uses a patcher. "Moria doesn't release patches". But you can see that one is sometimes used, at minimum; because who would want to do the same things over and over again, instead of just creating a script. Also, if you look at the first Plugin Alliance "everything" release, every one of the plugins shows that a patcher was used when you install them. Who wants to rename some 100 files just to hide that fact....

Keep shooting for that first best answer. Ignored, again. I'll see you in about 6 months.

This might be the problem. :( After upgrading to Tahoe, Little Snitch wasn't running for some hours because of compatibility problems. In a moment of inattentiveness I opened Logic in this state. It might be that PM used this very opportunity to call home.
Little Snitch update does the job now & I also added PM entries in hosts.
Now I wonder how my machine can remember the expired-demo-mode after completely removing & reinstalling the plugins. Any clue how I can set this back?

True, apple is mostly permitted to call home. I'll give it a shot completely offline and do a reboot before going online again. let's see if it helps.

You did not completely uninstall them then. Usually there will be some .plist files left in your /preferences folder. Do you have Wide Blue Sound plugin uninstaller? It finds nearly everything. But otherwise, you may want to get Find Any File if you do not have it. It is way better than regular Finder for lots of uses, but especially this one.

I think that is the issue, I am quite 100% sure. True Little Snitch didn't work at first with Tahoe and that's when Pulsar called home.
