Trying to install it and when I run the patch, I see the hourglass for a second. At first I though ok, it patched. But when I tried to open it, it's in demo mode. I tried 2 different versions and both did the exact same thing. I dug around and it seems I'm missing an xml file. Neither download contained an xml file. Does anyone know where I can get the xml file or where I can get a version that has it in it?
I have 6 and 7 currently on my machine and both work so it's not the end of the world. I just wanted to check it out.

I mean i tried kontakt, 5, 7, 8. I'm not sure what that xml file is about but it has indeed something to do with installing it, i dont remember the story behind it anymore. To me it also seems it doesnt work

Not sure why you're even messing about with v8.6.0 - latest is v8.7.1. More than likely you have an a/v (or some other "file protections") running preventing proper operation of the patcher. Also, pressing the lower middle button (on patcher) is required to actually initiate the patching. Pressing anything else will exhibit results similar to what you have described above. If patching was successful you should see the results in the patcher window.

The "xml" is the NativeAccess.xml and the latest version (when the release was made) should be included to install with the patcher unless you opted out of having it updated. If it's a BobbyD release and you opted to update the xml, the file will be located in the directory "c:\program files\common files\native instruments\service center\". The date stamp on the file should be the most recent and there should be a nativeaccess.bak in there as well being the file that was replaced. If you want the absolute cutting edge latest xml you can get it here.

The xml contains informations about kontakt libraries and the SNPID's and version data's for all published kontakt libraries to date. This data is vital to making certain the libraries add to the sampler correctly. New Kontakt libraries are released daily so you can see why keeping the xml up to date is rather important if you want to use a lot of cutting edge kontakt stuff.

I grabbed v8.7.1 from the sister site. Had the same issue. Problem was AV. For some reason, windows didn't bark at me like it usually does when it interferes. Got it installed. TY @saccamano

Also I'm wondering, can I just add any library or instrument downloaded from Audioz in Kontakt? I for the first time seem to have it working. I installed kontakt, turned down my two AV"s ( got hacked once ), and ran the patcher. Now it seems to work for me. but i yet have to get a downloaded library working. hopefully it'll work. Damn and Im impressed by loading up two libraries so you can layer sounds. :)
