Does anyone know if we have to keep the 1.1, 1.5 and 1.6 versions all in the same folder?

I do know that version 1.6 requires 1.5 be installed first but what it doesn't tell me is if needs to remain and for that matter version 1.1.

No... sorry Intro... that didn't solve my problem OR answer my question...

By keeping the 1.1 and 1.5 AFTER updates, you're still consuming 65 GB of hard disk space that I'm not sure is redundant or not...

 

The way Kontakt libraries usually update is to copy the new 1.6 folder directly on top of the old folder and replace all the instruments, multis, and samples with the new ones. No you shouldn't need to keep separate copies of the different versions. That is redundant. All the updates do is give you different nki instruments to copy over the old ones. So just merge all the folders to one. Keep folders intact. Copy instruments onto instruments, samples onto samples, etc and replace all the old ones with the new. But don't delete old folders, just copy on top because not all files will be updated. I hate taking screenshots so I will try to put it into words. I would copy the main root folder (with samples and instruments folder inside) of the update, and paste right onto the old library root folder (with instruments and samples folder inside) so it will replace files inside.
