In this video these guys use Kontakt with all their samples in it. How would you go about setting that up? i think that would save me alot of time rather then just dropping samples on the grid..

I think it is like 4 min in (Sorry cant check my internet gone slow again)

I'll write a mini tutorial with pictures for you it's truly very easy to do

For now you can grab the Kontakt 5.3 Application Reference PDF from your Kontakt folder:

    Win
    C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5\Documentation

    MAC
    Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Instruments > Kontakt 5 > Documentation

Open it and scroll to the 16 chapter called THE MAPPING EDITOR

    Enjoy the read!!!

Hope i understand your question right....

You can export/import with the group editor whole groups of samples at once. With this method you automatically import the individual sample settings (pitch changes f.e.) too.

Sorry if i might be late, but just start a Kontakt blank instance, click "Files" then "New Instrument", click on the wrench icon located in the left side of the instrument's little panel which you just created then click on the "Mapping Editor" tab.

Now let's say you just set up a midi clip with 1/4 notes on C5 (standard four on the floor kicks arrangement).
click "Files" tab located in the very left of the Kontakt window and the files browser will show up.
Go where your samples folders are located, let's say you divided your drums by elements, e.g. kicks / snares / claps /etc.
Go into your "kicks" folder and drag the first kick (or whatever) into the mapping editor window but make sure you drag it to the C5 region (or whatever region your midi clip represents/playing), now click the C5 mapped region to highlight it. (no.1 in the picture below) then click the arrows (no.2 in the picture below) to swap through your samples while you're playing your song/arrangements(you just have to drag one sample from that folder, after that, all the samples present in that folder will swapp automatically through those arrows).

I usually don't explain that good in english because i don't speak english natively and i always freak out in my own mind worring that people didn't understand me.
    Cheers! :mates:
