She is kinda cute, but she's never impressed met with her music and I haven't watched any of her live performances or music videos and I doubt I will.

 

On much of her old material she is the only writer. On much of her newer material she may have a writer or two. I don't think she has the stereotypical pop credits, where there are 7 writers credited. From what i understand she is very involved in the writing process, both melodically and lyrically. A friend of mine worked as an assistant engineer in many of her sessions, and he has told me that. Its also widely discussed in interviews etc. You can also just check the song credits. Im not even going to touch the rest of your ... thoughts? accusations? jealous ramblings? conspiracy theories?

Yes she did and will do it again and again. Her and a cadre of billionaires have the capacity to travel back into various timeliness and kill JFK to prevent him from making peace with the Russians to maintain control of the trillions to be made in the weapons industry. They also thwart the assassination of Hitler to maintain various forks of the time domain. Music is her passion and side gig

She also made a lot of young boys (and girls) cry by offering her useless support to a loser, shattering their foolish hopes...
On this one, she would have been wiser to keep her political opinions to herself, thus avoiding alienating half of America, and content herself with doing what she's so well paid to do: entertain the ears of the uneducated masses with simplistic and thus accessible melodies to anyone.

P.S.: This advice is valid for all our other showbiz "stars" who allow themselves to take a public stance on extremely serious issues, the causes of which they know nothing about, let alone the effects.

Taylor Swift and others will continue to exist until listeners or customers decide to buy and listen to something of higher quality. After Taylor Swift, someone else will come along who will fill the coffers and entertain the masses. What more could you want: bread and circuses.

That's the one thing I don't like at all. Unfortunately many celebrities do that lately. And some of them are pressured hard into doing it.

This is very true of all "hip-hop", rap, and gangster garbage as well... When did it become the norm that listening to a bunch of no-talent, tone deaf, street criminals is somehow musically credible?

personally its not that bad

 

I actually like some of her songs, especially from Lover, Folklore and Evermore. But this has to be one of the worst albums I have ever heard from any mainstream artist. Lyrically, it's a cringefest of the most uncool, how-do-you-do-fellow-kids vocabulary. And on one song, she's literally singing about her boyfriend's immense dick on a Jackson 5 beat. Musically, it's a snoozefest. It's quite the achievement to output zero bangers with Max Martin and Shellback. It sounds like she tried to copy Sabrina Carpenter who herself copied Taylor, but at the same time, everyone is already bored of Sabrina's sound. It sounds uninspired, safe and boring.

3/10 and I'm generous. It's not even reheated nachos, it's long decayed nachos forgotten at the back of the cupboard.

And the producing and marketing people who keep pushing and exploiting her are worth even more. It's all about making money. Money making machine. When she stops being popular it will be someone else, because the money making machine never stops. It's all very well calculated and called it's called "music industry". Goebels would be proud.
