Even allowing for the Roland premium it's quite shocking but I guess it leaves plenty of room for discounts.

Guys at Roland made a big mistake in the name of this new machine.

    TR-505, TR-606, TR-707, TR-808, TR-909 And now TR-1000 ?? Seriously ??!

It's MUST be called TR-1010... 1000 is disturbing, it's not logic, i'm confused.

That sounds better and is easier to remember, the Roland marketing experts found!

    Yes probably.
But consider that even the brand new MPC Live 3 cost around $1,000 less than this TR1000.

Probably not. $2700 doesn't go anywhere near as far as it did like 2 weeks ago.

I don't know why but for some reason I like this new Roland drum machine very much after watching this video.

I think it's great if you're serious about buying a hands on performance orientated master hardware rhythm machine for your studio, and you really, really, really want those classic Roland analog drums too.

Back in my EDM days I would have jumped on this thing. Today I would not buy it. I have no need for it.

Also, imo it looks pretty cool.
