    Hi,

Since i've downloaded many plugins from AudioZ, i have a music very loud (not every time but often) that i can't control when i come back to my MAcMini M1 Last sequoia... It's not always the same music but i can't do anything ! It stops after 5 ou 10 seconds...
I don't know where it comes from, it's not one of mines !

    Any idea ?

    Thanks a lot !

I'm not sure if I understood you correctly. Download and run the tool; it might be malware.

    Malwarebytes - AdwCleaner

there is Malwarebytes for Mac. If it is not a browser hijack, it's maybe something in preferences; but i'm not even going to guess. If you are going to make music, you should understand the signal flow of your own computer and audio interface.

Maybe the AI can help you a bit:
    Hi Estebass,

That sounds incredibly frustrating—especially if it's blasting loud, unfamiliar music right when you return to your Mac Mini. Based on what you've described (random playback on wake from sleep, short duration, not your own files, and tied to recent AudioZ plugin downloads), this could stem from a few common issues on macOS Sequoia with M1 hardware. Pirated or unsigned plugins from sites like AudioZ often have hidden behaviors (e.g., background demos, malware, or demo "nag" audio that plays unexpectedly), and they can conflict with audio drivers or wake events. Sequoia has also introduced some audio glitches, particularly around sleep/wake cycles and third-party audio software.

I'll outline the most likely causes and step-by-step troubleshooting below, starting with the quickest/safest fixes. If it's plugin-related malware, we want to isolate that fast. Try these in order, and let me know what happens.

    Quick Checks First
    1. Verify It's Audio-Related on Wake:
      • Go to System Settings > Battery > Options (or Energy Saver if searching).
      • Note your sleep settings (e.g., "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" or "Wake for network access"). Temporarily disable "Wake for network access" to see if wake triggers the sound less often.
      • Play a test track in Apple Music or QuickTime, let the Mac sleep (via Apple menu > Sleep), then wake it. Does the issue happen? If yes, it's likely tied to audio resuming oddly.
    2. Check for Stuck Audio Processes:
      • Open Activity Monitor (Spotlight search: Cmd + Space, type "Activity Monitor").
      • Go to the CPU or Memory tab, search for "coreaudio", "audio", or plugin names (e.g., if you installed Serum, Valhalla, etc.).
      • If you see high CPU from something like "coreaudiod" or a plugin process, select it and click the X to force quit. This restarts the audio system without a full reboot.
      • Also check the Audio MIDI Setup app (in Applications > Utilities). Look for unexpected devices or multi-output setups from plugins—delete any odd ones.
    3. Test in Safe Mode (To Rule Out Third-Party Conflicts):
      • Restart your Mac and hold the power button until you see "Loading startup options." Select your volume, hold Shift, and click "Continue in Safe Mode."
      • Use it for a bit (let it sleep/wake). If the loud music doesn't play, a plugin or app is the culprit. Restart normally and proceed to plugin removal.
Likely Culprit: Faulty Plugins from AudioZ
Downloaded plugins (especially cracked ones) are notorious for glitches like this—some include "watermark" audio that triggers randomly, or they mess with Core Audio on wake. Sequoia exacerbates this with stricter plugin scanning.

    • Uninstall Recent Plugins:
      • Open your DAW (e.g., Logic, Ableton) and go to Plugin Manager. Rescan and remove any from AudioZ downloads.
      • Manually delete: Search Finder for plugin names (.vst, .au, .component files) in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/ or ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/. Trash them, then empty Trash.
      • Reboot and test sleep/wake.
    • Scan for Malware (AudioZ Files Can Be Risky):
      • Download Malwarebytes for Mac (free version from malwarebytes.com). Run a full scan—it catches adware or trojans that play sounds. (Similar issues reported with random electronic music from hidden processes.)
      • Also run Apple's built-in XProtect: Update macOS via System Settings > General > Software Update.
    Other Common Sequoia/M1 Fixes
    • Reset Audio Settings:
      • Quit all audio apps. Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and run: sudo killall coreaudiod. Enter your password—this restarts the audio daemon.
    • Update macOS and Check Compatibility:
      • Go to System Settings > General > Software Update. Install any Sequoia patches (e.g., 15.1+ fixes audio bugs).
      • For plugins, check production-expert.com's Sequoia compatibility chart. Many (e.g., Serum, Valhalla) need updates or aren't fully stable yet.
    • Reset SMC/PRAM (M1-Specific):
      • For M1: Shut down, unplug power for 15 seconds, plug back in, wait 5 seconds, power on. This clears low-level hardware glitches like audio pops on wake.
      • PRAM: Restart and hold Cmd + Option + P + R until the second startup chime (or Apple logo twice on M1).
    If Nothing Works
    • Boot in Recovery Mode (hold power button at startup > Options) and reinstall macOS over your current install (keeps files intact).
    • Or describe more: What DAW/plugins did you install? Any error logs in Console app (search for "audio" around the time it happens)?
This should pinpoint it—hang in there, and hit me up with updates!

    Best, Grok
