Unfortunately, Usual Suspects doesn't currently support MTS.

If you're looking for another synthesizer that supports MTS, use the free Surge Synth Team - Surge XT.

    Free Download = https://surge-synthesizer.github.io
    Microtonal Step Sequencing = https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/tuning-guide/#microtonal-step-sequencing

MTS-ESP is a new standard for tuning software instruments. Big thanks to Oli and everyone else at ODDsound for developing this system.

Waldorf Microwave, Virus C, Virus TI2 have their own microtuning support don't Usual Suspects emulate that?

    Have you tried https://oddsound.com/mtsespsuite.php?

Ususal Suspect' emulations don't support MTS-ESP and MPE as I know, but this plugin can control tunings of separate notes by pitch bend. This is the univeral way for such a task for every synth which support pitch bend (as I understand with some limitations but something is better than nothing).

There are similar solutions, for example Node Audio Entonal Studio.

I don't know if it works, it is just a bit of info from my head.

    P. S. Take a look at the sister site.

This is why i am asking too... Especially for the upcoming Supernova 1/2, because many synths used to be tuneable with Sysex ( or many midi synths had something like that before the VST )

And MTS does emulate sending that through SYSEX, so wondering if there is a way to have some bridge for that to work with the synths / how to do it

anyhow, would be a cool addition, since that's possible to be done through sysex... wonder how many of the released synths would be actually capable of this ( like maybe the Upcoming Supernova )

Not really my area of expertise, but this has been mentioned on this DSP56300 Discord channel, so you are not alone it seems.

MTS/MPE and the like didnt exist when those synths were coded, they wont support any of that ever unless TUS decides to make some kind of filter for MIDI input that somehow 'translates' into something the synths can understand.

There are different ways of mictotuning for midi hardware (http://www.microtonal-synthesis.com/) and software synths (https://midi.org/microtuning-and-alternative-intonation-systems)

We should know what Microwave, Virus use and do Usual Suspects emulations even support this type of sysex
If yes theoretically we can use converters from one format to the other like https://github.com/unremarkablegarden/scala2mts; https://sevish.com/2019/how-to-convert-tun-scl-files/

MTS library needs to be implemented by the plugin developer to work how its as intended so better ask Usual Suspects to do that. I suppose this library will be able to override emulated or not emulated built in microtuning settings and hardware implementation.

yea, ( and thank you for sharing the links, many people don't know that MTS is already built in everything that is capable of handling MIDI, it just has to be kind of activated )

i am actually thinking it would be easy to implement this feature, because MTS is kind of built in to the MIDI standard itself

And now many people are realizing this, how easy it is to scale up the productivity a notch, when so easily implementing this

So wondering how they would build it
