So, the problem is pretty much in the topic title - whenever I try to load KLC plugin, it just hangs my DAW for dead. It never was an issue with old PC but recently upgraded and, well, here it is. I'm using Reaper but installed another DAW (FL lol) and it also happens there. Funny thing is, when I had this problem few months ago, I deep-removed everything korg related and reinstalled those plugins and it worked. For a time until recently. And now even that doesn't help.

Strangely, only Legacy Collection plugins are affected - opsix and all the new ones are working fine LOL. So, if maybe somebody else had this problem and somehow overcame it, I'm interested in knowing how.

the versions you do not have problems with use a different licensing system. In R2R .nfo:

* No official KORG Software Pass is needed to install.
* You need TEAM R2R KORG Software Pass v1.0.1 or above.
* LegacyCell includes old version of KORG plugins.
If you don't need, we don't recommend installing LegacyCell.

 

Didn't even install Legacy Cell. Also standalones do work fine, it's just plugins themselves, what's strange

 

The plugins still look to see if you have software pass on the system. You should firewall Software Pass in, so it cannot connect to the internet. Or you can block the korgusa website domains in hosts file. Your DAW should also be firewalled in anyway. If you last installed them awhile ago, it could be that you are forgetting some steps you did other than just installing them.

I've had some various issues with the older Korg synths before where they needed to be reinstalled. Usually it is the M1 for me, but I do not install all of them anyway. They are nice plugins, but they just take up a good amount of space to just sit there. I always get rid of synth standalone versions if I can, because I never use them.

I think if you see what R2R mention in their nfo file I pasted above, I would always follow their advice. If you do not have old projects that you absolutely need them to load with their saved state to keep settings, I would just use the newest versions like they said.
